August 2nd, the morning of the last show, I sat in my short stay Harlem apartment telling myself "I don't know if I can do this". I was so excited and nervous that I was talking myself out of going! Crazy right? To ease my mind, I decided to write Brandy a short 2 page letter with an overall goal of thanking her for just giving herself to the world. 2 pages turned into 6 pages of me rambling on and on about Brandy. My apologies B but my mind was all over the place!
Eventually I made it from Harlem to the Ambassador theater and the show began. I was in awe the entire time! I couldn't stop smiling, laughing, and at the end of the show, crying! And not a cute cry! No! It was the uncontrollable ugly cry! I was just so proud and so in love! I felt like I was watching God put in overtime! Wow... Just thinking about it gives me chills.
I stood in line nervously at the end of the show, waiting for my turn to get my picture with the one and only! When I walked up, she payed me absolutely no attention! Lmao! It was so much going on around her that she didn't see me about to have an emotional break down! When tears began to hug my eye lids, a star in a parked car began to blast her music, changing the entire mood! Me and Brandy both began to dance to the track and all my tears went away and I was nothing but smiles again! That's me dancing with Brandy at the :39 sec mark of her "Brandy Mobbed by Fans" video on YouTube. I light up every time I watch it, even though you can't see my face. We took our picture, I gave her my long letter, and I whispered in her ear "Thank you for giving you".
I then stood on the side and took a gazillion pictures of the beauty that I was witnessing. Her family was visually so proud! And Syrai, Willie, and especially Sonya are all so beautiful! Have you ever heard the saying "It felt like a dream"? It really did! So much so that I can't remember much of it. I don't remember much of the show or the little details leading up to me meeting her. That sucks right? But I can still feel the experience in my heart and that is everything I need! Brandy is my hero...

I have to say... watching Brandy on that stage. I couldn't believe I was seeing her, in the flesh, actually STANDING there. I was in awe. My eyes never seem so CLEAR. She looked so crystal clear and bright, to me, as if I was looking at her through a new technology software, lol - I don't know - it sounds stupid! Lol. She was shinning on that stage. It's so hard to even describe. I was smiling the entire time, inside and out. Incredible experience.
