The source is Billboard & Wikipedia.
You forgot to note Brandy's "Top of the World"... and why it didn't chart.
It was an airplay only single before airplay songs were allowed to chart.
It peaked in the Top 4 of the R&B Airplay chart.
Blo' .. bae :uhh:
Umm
There should be a special note that Get Me Bodied peaked top10 after charting for like a year :feelinmyself:
I'm pissed they added so much to this chart, Ci would have had 1 more top 10 and a #1 and Brandy also a #1. Rih would have had less also, all the way from the starting point of diamonds. alsskdk
I remember when they implemented that rule and it flew up to number # 1 on this chart.

A lot of people have R&B Airplay stats. It would have taken too long to list.
This is strictly the songs that charted on the main chart. Aaliyah got the annotation, because her label was notorious for sending Airplay Only singles. "One In A Million" being #1 for 8 weeks yet not charting is a pretty big deal.

Quote1. "One in a Million"
Peak Position: 1 (8 weeks)
Peak Date: 12/28/96
Weeks On Chart: 26
At eight weeks, "One in a Million" marks Aaliyah's longest reign at No. 1 on
Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop . The title track and second single off her sophomore album was, of course, written and produced by Missy Elliott and Timbaland. The combination of Timbaland's drum 'n' bass-influenced production, Missy's penmanship and Aaliyah's vocal arrangement made this track innovative and rapturously atypical. "One in a Million" staked its claim on the chart for 26 weeks.

Brandy didn't come off a huge number 1 hit with lots of mainstream promo.
Between lady marmalade and Chicago mya should've came out swinging and didn't. Let's stick to discussing how moodring went belly under.

QuoteLiberation was subsequently released as a digital download only in Japan on October 22, 2007.
Let's appreciate all these talented, successful BLACK girls for their slaying and amazing tunes.
Liberation was not shelfed. It was leaked by her label. Her lawyer advised her did she want to sue her record label over negligence on their behalf or go indie. She chose the independent route to avoid a headache.
In October 2007, Liberation was accidentally released to the Japanese music market due to label changing the release date again, leading to its overall leak on the Internet. As a result, Universal Motown decided to shelf a physical CD release elsewhere as the company feared that heavy bootlegging would affect sales.
Shelved.

It's crazy that Brandy & Monica both have the potential to chart in 4 decades. I can see both charting top 10 R&B in 2020 (less than 3 years away) with the right singles.
I don't think Toni, Janet, Mariah, Mary, Mya, Ashanti, or Keyshia will chart in the 2020's.
Everyone else has potential.

You forgot to note Brandy's "Top of the World"... and why it didn't chart.
It was an airplay only single before airplay songs were allowed to chart.
It peaked in the Top 4 of the R&B Airplay chart.

That was literally her worst performance ever.
She has many other video's where she sings great and dances great.
Why does Mya always have you discombobulated?

I just watched that performance. It actually wasn't that bad until the final chorus.
She stayed on pitch and on key that entire performance for the most part. Even while going into her fals'.

Tho Brandy has sold MILLIONS of more records than some of these female artists that have more hit singles. Saddens me we dropped the ball on singles like Full Moon & Talk About Our Love. They deserved to be top 10 not 20 hits..
