Yeah. That's sad.
Did it grow on anyone else yet? Does it have longevity? What have you deleted?
Looks like Kendrick Just snatched the Rap King Crown
:blessed:
Its ok Drake your still in the hip-hop/Rap trinity
Because he's LATE
It's awful.
It wasn't that good.
More Life 136,000 (17,000 in sales | 286,000 total sales)
:ummwhat: :guys:
I still play Blem and KMT goes awf at the gym.
What was the point? It's not even considered an album, is it?
:ummwhat:
Does he even have a single out? The whole album is just bizarre. Must be part of his Apple contract to drop an album every year.
I feel like that's how all rap releases are like now thou... everyone will get super hype when someone big or with hype drop some new shit but when the next nigga releases is on to the next... the only thing u do is just rotate the toughest songs on a playlist
I mean it's slaying in streaming now, but yea no one really cares about this one. I guess since it's not an "album" it flopping saleswise doesn't count.
But yea definitely don't see that much interest in it. Ppl are only listening bc it's drake. I'm a pretty big fan and usually listen to his mess non stop for weeks but I didn't care to this time.i know a few that are the same t
Drake is getting somewhat lazy imo
He has THE best production and he hoards it and throws lots of ppl on the song :dead:
He's already the best to ever do it so he need to continue to push
And sssss
It's no way for Kendrick to take kings crown at this point but the discussion will happen if he doesn't give at least one more alberm of substance
Also Drake is hiding a lot lol
This is 10 years in and you're still talking about the same mess, falling for strippers, good girls gone bad, friends switching up
Like OK we get it. Now who is Aubrey? :dead:
And I know EXACTLY what Drake is hiding.

True.
But I feel like Kendrick's album has legs. He has a few songs on his album he can release as singles that would smash. Drake on the other hand has no real hits this time around. And he hasn't put out a great album from start to finish since Take Care.
s
Oh my bad, I should've put commercially
he's lacking that one true artistic alberm imo, ppl give Take Care too much :dead:
but I do think he could do it, given his talent level.
Hes sold more than Eminem?
Ye? 50? Jay
Nelly!
I mean ... I did forget about Em
But he's got to be close :dead:
In alberms he's sold more than 15 mil in the US alone, and that's 4 alberms
As far as singles I think he's around 50 mil in solo singles
And as featured artists he's over 60 mil in US alone :dead:
I need Blonde to do a complete add up because now that I'm looking, I think King Aubrey surpassed everyone on that list except Em possibly

!!!!!!!!!
I'm team Drake, but Kendrick fucking SHAT. Probably one of the best rap albums I ever heard. You can be "deep and lyrical", but do it over some fucking KNOCK. The album just rides from start to FINISH.
And when's the last time Drake's released a video for his own mess? Hotline Bling? Lazy fuck

!!! We literally see it on this board. A month ago, everyone was going up for Big Sean, then Drake the week More Life came out, the last week or so it's been Kendrick. Music is so microwavable these days.

Drake has like 8 albums idc what he says & im pretty sure only 1 sold 2M+
the eras seem short lived
that's why i strongly believe in nurturing "singles" still
singles, successful singles, gives an era more leverage
stop releasing 3-4 songs at once... spread them out a bit, 3 months apart and give them the treatment they need
Beyonce's last two eras felt like ONE BIG mush

The Beyonce era had legs and she had 4 radio number ones including On The Run.
And in regards to your other post artists have even less control now...once the album is out radio will play whatever they want. This has been a constant issue (if you are single focused) for bey since the B'day release.
The alternative of releasing multiple singles before the album is counterproductive see how nicki has a few hits leading up and once the album is out nothing else sticks.
The days of going on multiple tv shows to promote a single are virtually gone, ppl are lucky if they can even book a late show or a snl to promote their album these days. It's all left in radio's hands or figuring out a way to make something that goes viral.
Im just sick of Drake and his repetitive monotone flow.
Whiny ass voice
Yeah Ken's album will be forgotten about once the next top rapper comes through. Wale is next to release but idk if he's a contender even though King should be.

I agree with this. She comes and goes imo. Drake is different tho. Why would he invest all that time in one era when he has another one on its heels? Views JUST came out with rihanna last year. Beyonce doesnt release like that so yea she should invest more in her eras

Both the 4 years old Beyonc? and the now year old Lemonade are still charting within worldwide the iTunes top100 [and never left]

Anti is nowhere to be found and that's with a current payola hit on pop radio.
Bey isn't the one that needs to invest in making her albums less front loaded (or purchased by Telefonica companies)

Wale aint doing shit, r u insane
and if Kendrick plays his cards right he will have a long era.
Will hit platinum before Drake, will have more hits than More Life if he does more features and releases more singles with MV. Also if Drake decides to be real lazy or moves on to a new era which is likely (though Blem is getting airplay so he may push for that). Kendrick will also shit with accolades during award season and have longevity - again if he pushes for it. Drake can always make a comeback, as the year ain't up yet.
The problem is some Rappers can release albums, sell good for one week and that'll be enough for them to drop off the face of the earth because the standards are low for them and they can pretty much get away with first week buzz from their fans.
