It's official: Frozen 2 and the live-action The Lion King will hit theaters in 2019.
Disney announced release dates for both movies Tuesday (April 25), with The Lion King coming July 19, 2019, and Frozen prepped for November 27, 2019.
Disney Animation took to Twitter to reveal the date for Frozen's second installation. While fans of the winter-themed phenomenon may feel like there's an eternity before the second movie, the 2019 release date marks a special anniversary: It's exactly six years after the original was released.
