You know, when I was younger, (stupidly) I always defined one thing that showed you were at PEAK maturity was having and successfully caring for a child. And many others around me felt the same.
But as I become older (just turned 22 lol) I see that children mean SHIT. :plzstop:
I know SO many people with children that still seem 10
They take care of their kid yes, but are inadequate or idiots in every other category
Can't keep a job
Constantly in messy relationships
Still in the mindset of a teenager
Quitting before attaining goals for dumb reasons
I mean, at this point I think raising a child successfully at the very least means you have patience and you value life that you create. Nothing more.
I have a few goals in life, a place to call home, career, little to no drama in my life, simple things. But I vomit at the thought of taking care of a mini human :diddraispoot:
But I don't think that makes me immature. I was told once I have a kid I'll really be an adult by some old bitch at work.
I was insulted because I'm 5 levels above this bitch but she wants to look down on me because I'm not struggling with a child at 40 :usureuok:

Humans are constantly changing and evolving. There is no guideline or peak in life that can really define what maturity is.
