Lengthy but a good interesting read. Do you agree with their comparisons?

I dont think any of the other songs were molded after TLC songs. This subject matter is bound to be touched on more than once.

It's really like Unpretty Part 2. Dallas Austin produced it too.

Quote"Unpretty" (1999) / Beyonc?'s "Pretty Hurts" (2013)

Quote"Waterfalls" (1995) / Solange's "Cranes In The Sky" (2016)

QuoteWith a tranquil, breezy chorus and verses that serve as an important PSA about safe sex and the AIDS epidemic, ?Waterfalls? was one of the greatest '90s examples of woke pop. On ?Cranes In The Sky,? Solange describes coping mechanisms -- some good, others bad -- to avoid the endless sorrow, pain, and injustice experienced by black women in America.
