Rightfully deserves her spot.
All the 90s teen girls outside of the top 10?
Aaliyah over Brandy?
Mya at 35?

Mya shouldn't even be on this list tbh
She is though

Let me listen to Get Up On It
Not damn Monifah. The damn list is VOID
QuoteKut Klose sounded like the perfect foil for the famously-begging loverman?s bedroom come-ons; their harmonies were sweet and their lead singer had a voice that cut through the fog of smoky seduction. That lead singer, the undeniably talented Athena Cage, was a big reason for Kut Klose?s early success and high expectations among R&B fans. Cage is a supreme vocalist and when the trio finally released their debut single, the equally-seductive ?I Like,? in 1995, they were among a new wave of R&B stars that looked to be ready to stake their claim to stardom. Kut Klose never fully realized their potential, but their debut album Surrender is a good indicator of just how great this group should?ve been. If you were bumping R&B in the mid-90s, you probably loved Kut Klose and Athena Cage

What old fart made this list btw
So sick of Aaliyah always getting the sympathy vote and being placed above Brandy when Brandy was killing the game in the 90s. I was an Aaliyah fan myself but she doesn't deserve all the credit she gets.

With a potent combination of sex appeal and girl-next-door charm to go along with one of the most distinctive voices of her generation, Toni Braxton emerged in 1992 to become one of the most popular and successful female R&B singers of the decade. Her self-titled debut spawned 5 hit singles and was five-times platinum, and the 1996 follow-up Secrets likewise sold more than 5 million copies. Braxton is one of the most popular, enduring and definitive artists of a decade that saw no shortage of women topping the charts; when Billboard celebrated 40 years charting from 1958 to 1998, Braxton?s seminal ?Un-Break My Heart? was declared the most successful song by a solo artist in the history of the Billboard Hot 100. She?s as much a part of the fabric of popular music as any singer could be, and she had one of the best runs of that decade
List looks spot on, except for Brandy and Liyah. They should switch spots.
Mary deserves that number one she completely captured the 90's R&B sound the best!
Janet and Mariah pop success keeps them from that top spot, hell Mariah didn't start to make urban music until mid decade.
Really Toni should be number 1 Mary Should be 2, because Toni was RnB. Some people listed like Anita, peaked in the 80s I dont recall her being huge in the 90s. Toni was the most successful RnB only singer from 92-00, Whitney and Mariah are crossover.
that list was all the way over the place
Why the hell would Toni be before Mary? That makes no sense
Brandy should be higher than Aaliyah
TLC should be lower
Toni should be higher
kelis shouldn't be here
D.C. Should be a lil lower
SWV Should definitely he lower

Mary is the most influential R&B female artist of the 90's :dead:
Janz so iconic b stuff :blessed:
Aaliyah should be higher tbh :dead:
Never heard of this site but
QuoteThere?s an entire generation of singers and fans who have grown up under the influence and in the shadow of Brandy Norwood. --
:letsmessfag:
Both Brandy and Aaliyah could be higher but it's just a random list guys
n
Who cares
Yeah it's just a random list and the ranking isn't that important. I like the fact that they acknowledged some of the underdogs like Miki Howard, Rachel Farrell, etc. I like what they had to say about each female artist too.
Mya should've been in Top 25 tbh.
sssssssssssssssssss
I'm listening to Rachelle Farrell and I hear Azealia's influence af!
She's so dope.

I love Liyah.
But her positions have been heightened due to her passing, IMO.
