The Bodyguard era
From Whitney-Bodyguard
I'd say right around Cinderella. still a monster vocalist, not many signs of a decline
Couldn't REALLY tell until My love is your love right after that .
Around her 2nd album I'd say vocally
The bodyguard vocally
But she lashed on the preachers wife too.
I'm thinking this era

Bodyguard
She was coked out during the Bodyguard a lot of hoarse performances live
but I guess the records are her best
Yeah vocally I think she was flawless here when I think about

Im STILL waiting on a decent performance of butterfly. That girl's voice been MIA most of her career
Bodyguard
80s early 90s. After the bodyguard tour her voice changed just a little bit.
I look at peak and prime as two different things

The Bodyguard era
!!!
But her voice was in peak condition when she first debuted. There was a lightness, ethereal quality that gradually because heavier, more soulful power as she smoked more cigs.
Mariah's vocal peak was her debut.
Whitney fucking lashed on that album with her mom too. Not sure what era that was recorded. But she let her mom fucking have it.

Mariah's vocal peak was her debut.
I'll say the Daydream era.
Her voice started to fade quickly, too. Like Whitney, the purity in their voices is never better than on the debut. Good thing she recorded Vision of Love then. Her good vocal performances are the curly-haired days. MAYBE include the Emotions era.
They were just so good that they still slayed even after their vocal peaks. :gorlonfire:
She literally sounded like an angel in 1985. :omgwatshappening: :omgwatshappening: :omgwatshappening: :omgwatshappening: :omgwatshappening:

she wasn't doing this in the 90s
Musically My Love is Your Love, mainstream appeal Bodyguard, vocally second/third Album I guess.
THE fuck you mean mainstream appeal when MLIYL and the greatest hits era both sold over 10 mill worldwide and were packed with hits :kii:
Because the Bodyguard outsold them both combined

!!!!! She's my favorite tone, honestly.
For me, it was The Bodyguard Soundtrack era. Her voice was in tip-top shape, and she couldn't do any wrong then.

that damn voice :'(
"Vocal Wise" Definantly "90"-"98"
"Looks" "86"-"97"
Commercially I feel like she had two primes
1985-1988 and then a rebirth from 92-94 that eclipsed everything from before.
