At ten minute mark.
Before I even click PLAY, can I please know who is doing Sevyn's fucking hair?
MY GOD!
It's 2017. Buy you some good hair and get some fag to apply it correctly on your head.
UGH! :uhh:
Tired of seeing her walking around with these wack ass wigs.
Yea her styling is just ... never good
And yea she's been shading Richgirl all week ddndjdnnfnf and whatever other group she was in. Actually, she was in a different group before then so I wouldn't assume it's Kristal
That's not what she said
She said she faced colorism and she knows she could sing and dance etc just as good as the next girl
Why is her foundation always so light?
n
Malcolm you damn lie. I rushed in here for a Kris dragging for nothing
And I don't know if she was talking about Kristal? Richgirl didn't even have a lead if we're being honest. They had 2 singles. And Sevyn had a verse on both with the first verse on "'Swagga Right".
Kristal is just as talented as she is. So, who knows what she was referring to.
Funny she's talking about colorism with this LIGHT ass makeup, though.
UGH.
But Queen
U are sitting here discussing colorism and ur foundation is about 5 shades lighter than ur natural color
Smh
She should rock some braids

they way this caramel color just HALTS right at her neck. sfdssfdsd
This not knowing about Chris
That's sad.
He's so damn strung out and out the loop

I really want to give this girl a damn makeover.
She's very loyal tho.
She didn't lash Chris like she should've

all this potential smh
Lord..
I'm happy I don't hate myself or my friends that are chocolate
I love that they embrace it
That's not what I got from this. I think it's more of a clearly I was the best singer/writer but I always had to share the spotlight. She probably didn't even want to do Richgirl, she was trying to do the solo thing and got discovered on MySpace.
Cause the lead from TG4 was chocolate too if I recall correctly..
Her mother is pretty. They look just alike.
And yeah Malc, this was bullshit. She was referring to colorism. :dead:

no the lead was bright and Sevyn was second lead
I can't stand ya'll. :kii: :uhh:
I took it as why are they not making the face of the group, when I am the one with the best vocals and writing skills tbh.
This click bait
This light face and chocolate fingers is so disheartening

Hmmm. iDK.
She specifically said "Someone who looks a certain way can sell a group".
That's why I hate when people are so general. Because I'm left wondering WTF you're even talking about. I just don't see that as the case in RichGirl or TG4. So, what is she even talking about?
Sitting up there looking like Michael Jackson.

She was talking about Mazda. Because if the first girl group had a dark lead girl, it must be about RichGirl, and Kristal was the "lead" there.

Kristal was not the lead in Richgirl. She and Several shared equal parts. I hate to say it but she's just not meant to be solo. Granted I used to feel the same way about Kelly until Destiny Fulfilled but it's so obvious this girl needs to be in a group. She doesn't have what it takes to be solo.

QuoteWhile she couldn?t speak about Tinashe?s personal experiences, Sevyn mentioned that she?s dealt with her own form of colorism in the industry starting at age 15. She would hear from directors and label management, ?Oh, we couldn?t find a pretty shot of her,? while filming music videos, as they opted for more camera time on members with lighter skin tones. ?I knew off the top [of my head] I would be able to out-sing and out-write people that I?ve been in groups with,? Sevyn tells Billboard. ?And not to say anything bad about them -- they were very talented as well. But I knew what I brought to the table and I knew my worth, and unfortunately I was never allowed to do that in the same way that others in my group were able to.? The singer explained how she's grown a ?tougher skin," knowing that ?it wasn?t my skin complexion that gave me opportunities, it was my work ethic.?
Like her earlier EPs, ?Girl Disrupted? updates the sweet era of ?90s R&B when strong female voices like TLC, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, SWV and Brandy ? whom Streeter jokingly refers to as a ?God? ? balanced lush, soulful harmonies with swaggering, hip-hop-dipped edge.
