New Orleans rapper Mystikal (Michael Tyler) is wanted by police in Shreveport, Louisiana, for an alleged sexual assault that took place in 2016. Shreveport Police obtained warrants for one count of First Degree Rape for Tyler and a second individual, Averweone Holman. Police are also looking for Tenichia Wafford, who allegedly tried to convince the victim to drop the charges. U.S. Marshals arrested Holman on Friday, but Tyler and Wafford are still at large. The alleged incident occurred at a Shreveport casino on October 22. Tyler was in the city as part of the Legends of Southern Hip-Hop tour. Police say they have evidence of Tyler at the crime scene, according to Fox 8.
In 2003, Tyler pled guilty to sexual battery and extortion; he served a prison sentence from 2004 to 2010. In 2012, he was issued an additional 81 days in jail for violating the terms of his probation, according to MTV News. He was arrested earlier that year on domestic abuse battery. Pitchfork has reached out to Tyler?s representatives for comment.
