I thought since the deadline is right around the corner, we can take a guess at some of the categories. These are my predictions for Best R&B Album & Best Urban Contemporary Album.
Mary J. Blige
Ledisi
Faith Evans
Alicia Keys
John Legend
(http://image.ibb.co/gTQC8k/image.jpg)
Sampha
Childish Gambino
Kehlani
SZA
Khalid
Feel free to guess any categories & include albums releasing before the upcoming deadline! Don't forget albums/songs that may have missed cut-off from 2016; which are still eligible.
HOW in the hell do albums featuring rappers get on a traditional rnb mess?
Sza is sweeping the rnb categories and she's a strong contender for BNA
Hell we might get 4 blacks nominated in that category with
Khalid
Sza
Cardi
And Logic
Up in the mix.

Oh Lord Sle.
Here we go with this again.
Why is it so hard for you to realize that in NYC we don't categorize Latinas as AA's.
Barack Obama is Black. I don't call him "biracial" or "half black" even though he has a White mom. He identifies as Black, he doesn't label himself as anything other than Black, so he's Black.

I speak about 9 languages. Am I disqualified? Is there an exotic tick box :caramelapple:
Kendrick has the rap grams on LOCK and other grammys.
They MIGHT toss SZA a bone mess.
Mary & John more than likely
Alicia possibly
TLC likely
Daley hopefully
Goldlink hopefully

Well not logic cus he's like 3 albums in now but I def see SZA & khalid getting a nom. cardi may be a bit too edgy for that cat'
Faith ain't gettin that nom I don't see it
They'll prob. Try and find a way to throw another Grammy at Lalah's dyke ass
Will 4:44 come thru a bit?
Who had the popular white mess this year
The only picks I have right now.... And I'm sure they'll change once we see what was actually submitted after the deadline..
GENERAL
Album Of The Year
Only guesses I'm making for AOTY.
Kendrick Lamar - DAMN. (Frontrunner)
Bruno Mars - 24K Magic (His era has cooled off with "Versace" flopping & being shut out at the VMAs, but his Showtime At the pollo special in November will probably secure voters.)
Ed Sheeran - Divide
Lorde - Melodrama (I think she could get snubbed but her Metacritic score is SO high!)
Metallica - Hardwired... To Self Destruct
Record Of The Year
Kendrick Lamar - "HUMBLE." (Frontrunner)
Ed Sheeran - "Shape Of You"
Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee & Bieber - "Despacito"
Bruno Mars - "That's What I Like"
Childish Gambino - "Redbone" (Gonna roll the dice and say this gets in!)
Song Of The Year
Ed Sheeran - "Shape Of You" (Frontrunner)
Kendrick Lamar - "HUMBLE."
Sam Smith - "Too Good At Goodbyes" (Let's see how big this gets!)
Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee & Bieber - "Despacito"
I'm sure Taylor will find her way in at least one of these categories. But I'm not sure how GRAMMY voters will respond to "Look What You Made Me Do".
---------------
R&B
These categories are just so unpredictable. One minute they're traditional leaning, and the next they're mainstream. I'm sure none of us will get this even close to right.
Best R&B Song
Songs I see fighting their way in.
"Love Galore" - SZA featuring Travi$ Scott (I think she should submit this and not "The Weekend")
"Redbone" - Childish Gambino
"Location" - Khalid
"That's What I Like" - Bruno Mars
"Love On The Brain" - Rihanna
"Body" - Syd (possibility)
Best R&B Performance
"Love On The Brain" - Rihanna
"The Weekend" - SZA (she should submit "Love Galore" here as well, though!)
"Redbone" - Childish Gambino
--------
"Before I Do" - Sevyn Streeter
"My Man" - Tamar
(One of these could make it in. Sevyn has the edge. Song blew up on Urban AC and is fresher.)
Best Rap/Sung
"LOYALTY." - Kendrick & Rihanna
"Unforgettable" - French Montana & Swae Lee
"Black Beatles" - Gucci Mane & Rae Sremmurd
"I'm The One" - DJ Khaled, Bieber, Quavo, Chance, etc.
"Wild Thoughts" - DJ Khaled, Rihanna & Tiller
(Kanye proved 2 songs from the same album can dominate this category. I don't think "Shining" will get in.)
Urban Contemporary Album
SZA - CTRL
Bruno Mars - 24K Magic
The Weekend - Starboy
Khalid - American Teen
Kehlani - SweetSexySavage
Best New Artist
Khalid
SZA
Charlie Puth
Alessia Cara (She can still be nominated. She's never been nominated)
Not sure on Cardi taking that 5th spot.
It's more fun to make Grammy predictions when we see the submissions list.
Hopefully, it leaks this year.

Rihanna's team tried it! :kii:
"Don't Hurt Yourself" had them SHOOK!
Ududjjdjd @ nothing is promised
Literally no one remembers that. I used for like a month
GUYS gag if you must. But I wouldn't gag if Khaled had 3 out of best rap sung performance.
Khalid will be a surprising winner imo. I could see him winning Best New Artist. SZA will be nominated but not sure about a win. They'll give it to someone like Bruno Mars or The Weekend or something.
Cardi hasnt released her album yet so no grammy nom for BNA. Alessia Cara got snubbed this yr so she cant get it again.

wow it should have been nominated and WON
It's all rigged and political anyway
IF ed wins over Kendrick. They need to just cancel it. They tried us 3 x
And this time the white supremacist voters are on their last leg.
