Monica has probably interfered with alot of coin being made because she personally didn't want "The Boy is Mine" to be touched. After while I'm sure it came off as don't touch it! Brandy was probably like girl bye, I co wrote it!. The Brandy/ Destiny child remix got them more plaques and a smash worldwide hit. No thanks to Monica stubborn self.
I agree with Monica not wanting to touch the history of The Boy is Mine, within reason--"The Girl is Mine" was perfect. However, she is not a credited writer or producer (like Brandy is), so her opinion is just a matter of giving her respect, really.
Whether Monica is a mess or petty, I love the fact that she stays off social media with it and keeps "whatever she does" behind the scenes. The old school way.
