Speaking to News AU, Ms. Kelly said of the as yet untitled project:
Quote? It definitely feels like it?ll be out next year.?
As for which label it?ll arrive on, Rowland reveals she?s ?in-between? record deals. A reality she says she enjoys ? despite certain drawbacks:

?I?m happy to have some freedom. You can do it yourself now. It?s an interesting place to be but it?s also expensive when you do it yourself. You need a good distributor for sure, I?d like to have some distribution options on the table.?
nnnnn kelly going independent is a huge risk. she leaves her albums to collect dust after the first week even on a major
label
She can keep it.

Oh Kelly...

Y'all are rude as hell.
But yh...indie or between labels, we don't want.
I hate to say it but Kelly and some of these other artists are no different than Brandy... I think with the state of the music industry these days, it?s hard for artists to be able to freely make the music and promote it the way they want. Music labels try to influence every aspect including the artist?s music, visual, image, and promotional direction, which often forces the artist to create music they don?t feel or believe in. The labels don?t want to provide and adequate budget to successfully push the album and the artist suffers, especially if they get locked into a lopsided contract. But, as she stated, going independently is very costly. I think that?s why we hear things like ?divine timing? because the artist is waiting for everything to align itself where it?s beneficial to them.
