but i must say sometimes i wish she'd just stick to the melody cause her ear and improvising sometimes is off.

STFU!  :kii:

I came in here to literally say the exact same thing.  I just didn't know how to articulate it.  And you summed up my thoughts perfectly!

I watched the entire set yesterday.  I loved her energy and personality.  But the way she veered off the melody on certain songs like "The Weekend" really irritated me.  People want to hear those songs the way they are on the studio version.  She really tried it!  :uhh:

And don't get me started on that rendition of "Supermodel".

CH.

I'm seeing her in December, so at least I know what to expect.  She isn't awful live, but I wish she had some background singers to keep the songs flowing better when she veers off into her own thing.  That would actually help her.

OH, and LOVED how this was edited and filmed by the way.

It was really cute to be a VEVO mess.

I was thinking the same as well re background singers. She should really get a couple. As much as I love her, I'm not seeing her live until she fixes some of these things. Cause this Lauryn Hill 2017 remix version to her songs aren't cuttin it sometimes.

I'm kinda LIVING for you today!  Because earlier when I typed this to you, I almost used Lauryn as a reference.  >>>><<<<<  Exactly who it reminded me of with these off kilter melodies and off the cuff rearrangements.  :kii:
