I went for my consultation today. He recommended metal or ceramic braces. He said the metal will be quicker but I may have to wear a permanent retainer that goes behind my teeth or can have them binded together with a substance that last 10 to 15 years
My insurance covered majority of it and I want to do it before we do new insurance enrollment.
I've considered the invisible mess.

I've considered the invisible mess.
They just so damn spense. They quoted me 4500 to 5000 for metal and ceramic. My insurance covered 3500 of it

I think I may get invisilyn (sp) later down the line
I wanted them to until he gave me the price of almost 6000 to 8000
:udontlookok:
Your insurance doesn?t cover it?
These are the only ones I?d consider:

Thankfully I don?t need it.

if your insurance covers most of it I'd just get the cheapest option
You're lucky. In Europe getting braces as an adult in the insurance is unheard of
Yeah i have good insurance

The invisible braces take way longer anyway

Invisalign seems like the best discreet option.

vvvv my dentist here in Munich quoted me 4000 euros for fast braces, they're white but still not "invisible". this would also apparently cover the cost of the appointment every 3-4 weeks to have them tightened/repaired but i was just like :uhh:
Oh wait 4000? sounds kind of affordable. ddd
What do they look like?

It?s like literally double the price. But there is a cheaper option. Smile Direct Club...check I?t out. I? had a few coworkers who use I?t
If it?s one or two years it?s really not bad. I? wish my insurance had covered them back in 2011. I? didn?t need them because I? had them as a child but I? have this obsession with perfect teeth so I? paid for them again out of pocket as well as 2 porcelain veneers

it's funny because the dentist practice i go to is very modern and they seem to be very cosmetically/commercially driven, but i've received much higher quotes at other places.
this is the company, and you can search for dental places in your city that offer them:
https://fastbraces.com/products
i think the ones i got quoted for 4000 were not "clear/invisible", but white - so not the traditional metal looking ones
Those are the ceramic braces they stain easily tho and you have to brush 4 times a day

:ohwow:
I had the Incognito ones and don't regret it a single second.
Despite them sometimes hurting my tongue :flamebroiled:

oh I had to pay for it since I'm an adult...it was an "esthetic correction"
Had metal ones when I was a teen. It was a great investment!
I have a friend who has Invisalign but I?m almost certain she?s had now for over 3 years. She had a tumor they had to remove from her jaw but I still feel like it shouldn?t have lasted this long..
