!
I feel like all of her albums are sonically ahead of where music is at the time they're released, so they kinda get slept on.

Overall just slept on. Great to see her get recognition that she deserves.
Mack u look great in ur Twitter avi
Brandy does deserve more praise and respect. The 2001 and 2004 messes that nobody would even blink twice at today kinda ruined some things (as far as the girl next door that everybody loves) for her image wise. Music wise I don?t feel anyone doubts she?s a pro and one of the best. Her ear for music and specifically harmonies is well recognized and praised. The fact that she was in her fucking early teens and recorded songs that were instant classics and only went on to progress over the next albums. I don?t think there?s ever a question or doubt about how dope she is.
they really don?t
I disagree. Maybe the general public but I don?t care about them lmao! Across all genres, these artists and her peers know wtf is damn WHAT
Joe is an ass, but knows his music.
I agree and rig yes her peers know but it would be nice for the gen pop to know and understand as well

This
I feel like the gen public is respects her voice more than the music after FM. Plus, she's had many moments of expressing some type of "retrospective disappointment" in projects after FM.
I feel like it?s kinda of Brandy faults too. After Never Say Never she didn?t push albums to their full potential. One single don?t do good and she ready to move on. Imagine if she kept pushing Full Moon and Afro! I mean relasing four singles and both had tours. They would had went down as classics too. It?s like Brandy pops up and then disappear musically.

This!
She's had some pretty good albums. If she praised her own work more often (Afro, Human and even 2/11), then she'd have more recognition and respect for sure.

This is true.
To the average person who doesn't live on the blogs, Brandy hasn't had an album since FM.

How could she have pushed her peojects more if the goal was to simply recoup production and marketing costs though?

With Full Moon if the fans would?ve picked ?I Thought? to be the third single instead of ?He Is? when they had that contest. I voted for ?I thought? like 70 times smh
The thing with Brandy is that she?s an artist and more than just a singer and she should?ve pushed further with the Afrodisiac sound instead of doing an album like Two Eleven. I felt like that album for me was a let down compared to what I know Brandy is capable of doing. Just my opinion from someone who knows music completely.

both singles would have done the same
brandy gave birth and checked out, no promo was happening for a third single
rightfully, so
she thought she could come right back out the following year
her songs with robert reflect that
