After months of guest hosts sitting on The Real?s couch with Loni Love, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Jeannie Mai and Adrienne Houghton, the daytime talk show may have finally added a fifth host to their roster: Ray J.
The Love & Hip Hop Hollywood star took to his Instagram account on Monday to share the news with his millions of followers, writing, ?Looks like got a new job!!! Stay tuned!! #TheRealwithRayJ #telepictures #DaytimeTV.? The announcement was accompanied by a photo of Ray J posing with the women.
The "I Hit it First" singer, who infamously made a sex tape with Kim Kardashian, received congratulations from followers over his new gig. However, the news was not confirmed on The Real's official Instagram or Twitter account.
Some fans aren?t buying it, given the show's mostly female hosts and guests, which have included Monica, Eve, Evelyn Lozada and Tina Knowles.
Ray J was one of the few men to co-host in November, along with rapper T-Pain.
If Ray J were the latest host to join the Fox talk show, he would be the replacement for Tamar Braxton, who left the Emmy-winning talk show after Season 2, in May 2016.
Initially, there was speculation that Braxton?on the show since its first episode, in 2013?was fired. But The Braxton Family Values star claimed she chose to leave so she could focus on her music career.
?The Real and Tamar Braxton have mutually decided that Tamar will not be continuing with the show for its upcoming third season," read a statement released just before Braxton?s departure. "She will be leaving in order to concentrate on her solo career. Everyone associated with The Real appreciates Tamar's efforts and the contributions she has made to the show's success, and we wish her all the best for the future."
Back in September, Braxton dropped her fourth album, Bluebird of Happiness. Upon release, the youngest sister of renowned R&B singer Toni Braxton said she was retiring from singing to "protect her marriage," according to Entertainment Tonight Online. Then, in October, Braxton filed for divorce from Vincent Herbet, her husband of nearly 9 years.
