Title: They are the LAST gorls to become part of the R&B female staples

Like plaques, actual HITS, major deals, major Award wins and nominations.
Being able to TOUR, have some songs everybody knows, just being part of the convo.

I don't think there will ever be a new R&B diva properly slaying.

Keri?

Gorl please.

2 albums and 3 hits don't make you a STAPLE

And if it wasn't for Jazmines writing and impeccable voice allowing her to continue to perch at various events , she wouldn't be either. No shade.

Keri has a few hits but I wouldn't say she's an "R&B staple". But I agree, Jaz was the last new R&B girl to really make waves based purely off her talent.

Not at all. I'm just making it known that it isn't her "success" keeping her in the game. It's her gift. Jazmine is one of the best

On a bigger level, yes. But Keri and Jazmine are more recent (last ten years) and for that era they are the last to make some kinda splash.

And having voice that stands the test of time >>>>

Jazmine will always have an audience because she has the talent. How do you think Patti  became an staple in R&B?  She doesn't have half the certs of Aretha and Gladys but she's just as respected.

Keri's debut era kinda SLAYED. Like the album is full of recognizable songs. She had several certified hits and also internationally. Idk why she took this eternal break.

Both of them are flops and wont be remembered.

Keyshia Cole was the last one to breakthrough

But Beyonce & Rih are the only ones accepted by mainstream

Alicia  & Mary were as well but both fell off the face of relevance.

Scream didn't chart
Number One No.59
Mean Muggin No.93

Keri was never meant to be an artist she should've stayed behind the scences writing for other artists.

Jazmine Sullivan's weight is holding back her career. It's a damn shame.

i dont agree..
i dont think anyone would care if shes skinny or big
the music has to be timeless and she needs a better label..
a label that will market her like Adele/Sam Smith

her music is mediocre.. she has great songs but in totality the alber always falls short.

and she cant take another break

don't think she'll be part of the R&B female staples luv

Yeah too soon to tell but she's doing great right now. Here is in the top 3 Hot R&B and moving up Hot 100 nearing top 20.

the only new new girls out that have potential to stick and become a staple are Jhene and Sevyn..
the others are very disposable.

and all the new guys sound like drake... terrible!

Many guys have made the transition to R&B staple level. Miguel and WEAK' can take a break of 5 years and would still be part of the males in R&B convo.

More than half of her songs flopped even for r & b standards

She can sing, but her tone is ugly for the most part And shes boring overall.

It takes more than a voice to make it.

she may have truly just come around the wrong time. People aren't here for these type
of vocalists anymore. there needs to be more
