Title: What if Bey came out with an album inspired by the Lion King :gorlonfire:

All I hear are drums and snares and the reason why fro calls her Beefasa :loose2when: that would be dope. An album that takes place in DEEP Africa. Beys swinging on vines with her long golden tresses blowing behind ha. Songs like End of Time and Standing on the Sun running all thru tracklist :gorlonfire:

It would be hot, but I feel like it would flop.  When I hear records like "Grown Woman" and "End Of Time" they just don't sound current.

I know she could do it in a way to make it current, but IDK.  Music is in a different place right now.

Plus, with Rihanna releasing a dancehall/reggae album, I don't know if I'm ready for all that Afro/tribal/island stuff from EVERYBODY.

let's switch gears

Sales wise

Do you think rih really could book with her next mess? An all reggae out seems kinda, well, dumb since that trend was hot 2 years ago. If pop radio would take on something super ethnic, I'd bet on Bey before Rih.

Rih's voice is like liquid gold on radio.  She rarely has misses.  And her streaming numbers were great with ANTI.  Plus, I think her stye/fusion of reggae and what's current will probably work for her.  I just can't see it being bad.  That's her pocket.

I'm interested to see how well she'll do with Spotify this time around.  It's only been 2 years, but you just never know.

And with B?  IDK.  It's different.  She's not going to sell you song by song.  She'll create a spectacle, pull in the hype, and sell you the entire project.  And the shit will be a fucking TIDAL exclusive.  :kii:

Too many weird variables, sis.  Almost impossible to compare those 2.

Plus, Rihanna has a label that's thirsty to certify her AS SOON as they can.  Lemonade still not even certified beyond platinum.  And STILL not on Spotify.

you're so objective. :plzstop: Rih ol ass is LUCKY they pulled out the ANTI tracklist before the whole thing fell apart. Because Work and Needed Me >>>>>> everything that came out that year before

But Yeah, I see what you're saying with Bey. Whatever direction this next one gives, it'll all be of quality and set the standard for our other faves. :dead: the pressure she sets up for herself on the foot of every new album must be enormous. I don't see Rih having that same pressure tho.
