I know, weird topic title ddd
Ok, so I used to be someone that would easily get sort of traumatized with anything death and gore related, and I'm sure that I'm not the only one. Some people even feel unwell at the sight of blood. Maybe it's a natural instict.. Our brain telling us "this person is not ok, RUN if you don't want to end up like ha" :usureuok:
With gore pictures, e.g. corpse pictures that were illegally obtained, it's quite clear what makes it shocking: Seeing the deadly injury and just the pure dehumanization for "entertainment".
There are a couple "Real Bodies" exhibitions all over the world, where they put preserved dead human bodies on display for education on how the body works (I personally think it's also partly sensationalism). All the bodies were voluntarily donated with their consent.
I remember when I was little and first heard about these exhibitions I was so shocked... 1) that such a thing even exists and 2) just seeing pics of these literal corpses. Why did these people agree to be sliced after death like they're a salami sandwich. Like Wtf :guys:
Some pics:But at the end of the day, death is natural. This is how we look inside and that's what we're made of physically.
Here's a video of a human head before final plastination:I think I can look at these things now objectively for the most part, but also have a slight underlying horror of wtf I'm looking at. :rthosehotwings: :diddraispoot: :jarvwhereru:
I went to see one of these exhibitions earlier this week and thought it was quite interesting, not gruesome.
But yeah, my question still remains, why is it uncomfortable at first?
The UK is edgy as fuck for showing this on national TV:
Touchy subject. To a lot of people death is an unknown and scary reality tbh.
Seeing a dead body reminds you that we all aren't meant to stay here forever.
Seeing my brother's body after he was murdered in March was really difficult. My other brother took pictures, which I still have on my phone. :stressed:
Humans were created to live forever and enjoy life forever .. death hurts so much because it?s unnatural and not part of Gods original plan for us ..
