What is the definition of "of our time".  Janet is very heavily influential, but she came out in the 80s.  And if you count her you have to debate whether it's Janet or Whitney.

definetly between Whitney and Janet.
but I tend to think Whitney had a bigger impact, mostly she's universally known as the VOICE type of artist, the classy diva. Janet came later right? and her lane is more in the urban/dance world. Whitney feels more universal, in this sense. Actually, Michael himself was the most influential, regarding Janet's lane, so Janet kind of followed his steps. So yeah.... Whitney.

jans shows haven't grossed much. There isnt receipt you could show me.
Cause it doesn't exist.

But on the topic at hand. Her shows look like a local dance competitions. Who would want to fully mimic that? No one in todays generation. It's just... Meh. Not talking about the workout she does on stage.

The girls are inspired by Madonna.
Anyone relevant for that matter and wants BIG tour grosses.

All the girls that dance and put on a show are influenced by Janet.  Beyonc? did a whole Rhythm Nation routine in one of her performances.  Britney's shows are influenced by Janet.

But all the mainstream girls who care anything about vocals are clearly influenced by Whitney in some way...

I'd say it's a tie.

All the performers claim Janet
Justin, Britney early on in their careers time and time again celebrated Janet
Usher said Janet allowed him to open on on her tours showed him
The busines
Aaliyah & Mya referenced Janet as someone who influenced them
Even Mariah said 'she doesn't see her as a rival but as an infulence' LOL
J-Lo, who was a backup Dancer for the bitch
Beyonce said time and time again how she's an infulence
Then you have Ciara & Tinahe

She's the blueprint for the modern performer
Madonna is Celebrated for pushing the boundries in her image, not for her performance :dead:

Even Mariah said 'she doesn't see her as a rival but as an infulence' LOL
J-Lo, who was a backup Dancer for the bitch
Beyonce said time and time again how she's an infulence
Then you have Ciara & Tinahe

She's the blueprint for the modern performer
Madonna is Celebrated for pushing the boundries in her image, not for her performance :dead:

All the girls that dance and put on a show are influenced by Janet.  Beyonc? did a whole Rhythm Nation routine in one of her performances.  Britney's shows are influenced by Janet.

But all the mainstream girls who care anything about vocals are clearly influenced by Whitney in some way...

I'd say it's a tie.

v

Y'all are out of it. For real.

No, you're trippin'.  lol. Madonna has never been as influential as a dancer as someone like Janet or Michael.  She's not as skilled as they are in that area.  She's more of a cool visuals and cause a bunch of controversy to sell records kind of artist.  So the girls who push a lot of buttons to sell are probably more in line with being influenced by Madonna.

I think with Janet her legacy is marred because of Michael. She performs the same way he did with the choreography and the mini movie videos etc.. Probably why people don't give her enough credit since he gets it all. At least her music was better than his after Bad.

Madonna has never been as influential as a dancer as someone like Janet or Michael.  She's not as skilled as they are in that area.  She's more of a cool visuals and cause a bunch of controversy to sell records kind of artist.  So the girls who push a lot of buttons to sell are probably more in line with being influenced by Madonna.

c

I'm honestly over the over-saturation of her legacy on here. To put her up there with Madonna or even Whit is blasphemous. And though Tran was a great dancer in her prime, I'm not seeing the epic as far as performances goes.

I honestly can't believe some of the stuff posted. jan did amazing things for women when it comes to performing. "We can be as hard as the guys" But she's not on Madge's level, performing wise. NEVER. and this new lil tour  :plzstop:

All the girls that dance and put on a show are influenced by Janet.  Beyonc? did a whole Rhythm Nation routine in one of her performances.  Britney's shows are influenced by Janet.

But all the mainstream girls who care anything about vocals are clearly influenced by Whitney in some way...

I'd say it's a tie.

Faggot, you're out of your fucking mind :kii: and trying to hard to deflect from the fact that Tran is getting tossed in this thread.

I can actually pull up quotes and videos of artists speaking on 'Bert's influence. Every male artist out now has praised him or paid homage to him  :plzstop: It is what it is.

and your dumbass keeps bringing up Chris and Trey when they both were the ones who paid homage to him several times and asked him to join them onstage. You're salty cause Tran is a forgot has-been, nepotism bitch who is STILL flopping despite her more famous brother kicking the bucket.  Sis called Ci, Tin' and Jason Derulo to pay homage and people still didn't give a fuck  :plzstop: "Oh look at me guys! Don't forget me! I'm a legend ok" :plzstop: She tried it.

Tran just collected her 6th flop album  :receipts: :plzstop:

So the girls who push a lot of buttons to sell are probably more in line with being influenced by Madonna.

NEVER. and this new lil tour  :plzstop:

b

Gor you are out of your mind. :kii: :kii: :kii:

Madonna's shit is all production nowadays.

Even though that's not true.
She's putting on better shows tha Janet.

There's no way you think Janet's new tour is better than Madonna's.

Based on what? You spew a lot of baseless generalizations hon.

My turn...

There's no way you think 'Beyonce' is better than 'Talk a Good Game".

:plea:

Well... Let's base it off something you can see.
Madonna's tours gross more than Jans and get better reviews.

Beyonce gets better sales and reviews than anything Kelly does.

No personal opinions needed.

Your turn.
:nobunshun:

I can SEE that Taylor Swift's alb sold more than Bey's.

So does that mean it's better?

And where are these "better" tour reviews?

:nowgorl:
