Title: Facebook wages war on Fake News
Post by: herbie on July 11, 2018, 11:05:38 AM
I'm glad they're doing something about this, or at least trying.

I made a topic about my frustration with the "news" I saw going around and it kind of frustrated me that some people really believe anything they read without checking the source, or at least taking a moment to really think about how realistic the story seems.

Quotekinda dangerous how some people will believe anything they read.

without doing any investigation for themselves or looking into it
there are a few people now walking around thinking that the waffle house has "no negro" signs on their restaurants

thats all fine and dandy but what if reading something like this causes someone to become angry and want to seek vengeance in some way?

this clickbait mess is completely out of control. trolling in regards to celebs is one thing but to cook up mess like this for views is pretty disgusting. its so frustrating to see people fall for it.
