I barely understood what the hell was going on
Kinda glad I didn't tbh. I couldn't imagine being an adult and actually knowing what the fuck was happening and why.
BUT every time I came up the subway stairs to the Village in NYC...the first thing you'd see is the towers in the distance, standing tall.
To walk up those stairs and see NOTHING in the sky was like a smack in the face every single time.
Crazy.
What a horrible day in NYC. This world is shitty.

I remember I wrote about it again two years later and my teacher looked at me like what the literal fuck.
I was just letting her know I was 8 but at 10 I was changed and knew why that was bad.

Yea, I was too young to understand what was happening in school but I remember my teacher talking to another teacher but I just thought they were being messy and gossiping.
:plzstop: :plzstop: :plzstop:
Next thing you know, my father came to pick me up and we were on the way home. Then I heard all of the real commotion.

Yeah from August 25, 2001 (the day Aaliyah died) to September 11, 2001 was a really weird and depressing time in America overall imo.

Bitch 2001 was fucking CURSED
!!!!!!!!!! Tbh it feels like that. Even though there were definitely good things about that year, it's spoiled by all the mess that happened that year. And it all was so RANDOM. I don't think I'll EVER forget the day Aaliyah died. I can still see it so clearly. :uhh:

It was crazy in NYC
They were taking buses that we'd normally use to get home for emergency mess.
And I was in fucking Queens. Not even in Manhattan or even near it.... and they were snatching our buses to take them to Manhattan for help.
Their little plan definitely worked. I never truly felt safe in NYC again - especially on subways.
!!!
My dad worked in Manhattan at the time so it was so odd that he came to pick me up during the day. I know age has a lot to do with it but age aside, everything felt so carefree in NYC beforehand.

When Aaliyah was killed I just knew it was a lie and she was mis identified, I couldn't believe one word I watched the news all night...

I'm sure the general population cared much more about the latter than the former, but as someone who loved GODliyah I was already crushed. And then to have a slap in the face while I was down with planes ramming into my fucking city
THEN we had another plane crash in November right in Queens. :plzstop:
The shit went down right in a residential neighborhood

Guys, you cant?re read anything in the pic because there isn?t anything to read. It?s the plane drawn to scale in comarison to the damage done to the Pentagon.
