My friends and I came across one earlier today.
And said "oop", and kept it movin'.
:udontlookok:
I would just keep the doors closed until further notice, if I were the restuarant.
:everythingok:
How strict are you guys when it comes to the sanitary grades?
:ohwow:

I saw a "C" one time in Manhattan.
I could not believe the doors were open.
That's embarrassing, IMO.
A B?! THE GHETTO!!!!!

:omgwatshappening:
It looked normal as fuck, from the outside.
But apparently some shit wasn't right on the inside, in the back -- for them to get that "C". It was shocking, and stood out, cause it's rare to see a "C" rating. People were going in and eating, tho.
:dead:
People were in the "B" rated one today, too.
And it's clear that some people don't care.
But what if that "B" was a result of a roach or rat infestation?
CH...

I think she's confused because she may not have the grading system in her state.
It's a NYC thing for now, I believe.
But I agree...if the rating is under an A, I definitely C my way to another store
Death.
I thought it was everywhere.
I don't go to any restaurant that doesn't have 3 Michelin stars
:young:
And Oh shit.. I thought Kaeli said ... "where DID you find this".... not "DO"...

Eh
Even with an A rating that doesn't mean somebody can't pull a stunt and spit or throw a booger in your food. Inspectors give out major strikes for everything whether it be running out of paper towels and hand soap or a rat running across the table.
You're always taking a chance dining out.

I think my biggest thing is vermin.
You can't get an A with rats and roaches crawling about.

I wonder if restaurants could even remain open if they got less than a B. That's just TRAGIC
There could probably be a limit of how long they have to get shit together.
But I've seen open doors on B and C.
:dead:
As of the end of July 2011, the Department had issued 943 violations to restaurants for failing to post their required grade cards and another 123 violations to restaurants that were not posting the cards in the required location. These violations carry recommended fines of up to $1,000 for the first offense and as much as $2,000 for subsequent offenses.
The grading program relies on public awareness to motivate restaurant operators to maintain high food safety practices. Consumers can learn which grade card should be posted near a restaurant?s entrance by checking nyc.gov and searching ?restaurant letter grading.? If the grade card is missing or is not in the required position, consumers should call 311 to file a complaint.
Fucking death.
I've been in B's that looked and felt more sanitized than A's. It doesn't really matter, you're taking a chance every place you go.

This is true.
I guess I'd wonder why something was a B or less.
