QuoteAccording to Fox News, Woodchurch High School in Wirral, in Northwest England has banned students from wearing jackets from ?Canada Goose, Moncler or Pyrenex, which cost up to 1,000 pounds ($1,280) each.?
The school sent a letter home to parents and explained to them their reasoning behind this decision. "As you are all aware from an email that was sent out yesterday, pupils will not be permitted to bring in Canadian (sic) Goose and Monclair (sic) coats after the Christmas break.?
The support from parents/carers has been overwhelmingly positive and we are very thankful for this. Some have also asked whether Pyrenex coats, which are also in a similar price range (with some also having real fur) will also be prohibited. I am writing to confirm that these brands will also be prohibited after Christmas. Thank you for your ongoing support."

I was in private school for most of my childhood - we all wore uniforms. And I gotta admit that it helps when everyone looks the same.
There was never a conversation about who got the new sneakers or name brand shirts, etc.
I'd want my child to go to a school where uniforms are required.
Cuz they damn sure will not be wearing all the new Jordans and mess. That type of coin would be put into their education instead (if I am unable to find a really great public school) or put into some sort of savings account for them.
I get it, but I think it would be more beneficial to teach your children to be individuals and not base their self worth on trying to keep up with what their peers have. Once a child (or anyone) has a strong sense of self, outside opinions become less important. And we live in country that worships the wealthy over any other group, so trying to shield your child from any of it is kind of pointless.
Or the parents can just stop being poor
Lemme cut right to meat and potatoes
I'm right and you need to shut the fuck up about it

I also caught hear for my starter jackets :dead:
Tell them to get a job
Naw, I'm just playing.
The school should just donate.
We live in a free nation.
Some people will have something, others won't.
We can't shield people from that -- they will experience it, eventually.
Everyone does. Even the richest of the rich.
I think they should tackle down on bullying before banning jackets.

:butwait!:
The coats that are banned can cost over $1,000 so I get it.
I would protest a bit
Why should I alter my wardrobe and possibly get SICK from being cold because you can?t afford a jacket?

Lie about being a big black nigger in a dilapidated house confined to a wheelchair with fantasies of being white?
They should just get uniform coats like they did in my secondary school lol
damns now my lil vaby voo tig' cant go to cornbread welfare ghetto elementary no mores
I went to a performance arts school & we had uniforms but they didn?t require a certain type shoe sooooo the issue remained for most kids.
