Title: How we Feel About Clubbing?
Post by: Kurama on December 04, 2018, 10:36:55 AM
How do yall feel about going to clubs? I know its one of the few places gays can meet and be "social".

Do you go out often or at all?

If you do, do you enjoy it?

I go out every now again
Definitely slowed down the older I get

I prefer a house party with wine and food tbh

I've only gone a handful of times and each time I hated it.

The loud music, close quarters, overpriced everything. No ma'am.

A bar or lounge mess are more my speed.

When I was much younger it was everything
My bestie and I would do it up every weekend . Not so much now.

I prefer a nice lounge mess.
Went out with my cousins Thanksgiving night - had drinks, bopped a bit to the chunez, smoked some hookah and called it a night.

All that extra stuff is too much for me.
Especially gay clubs - all the fighting, mess, etc.
Last time I went to a club like that the cops ended up outside to address people throwing bottles outside.

Am good

Fighting? What kinda gay club were you at ?

Never reallly experienced that tbh except at certain types of gay clubs lolz

What's the difference between a bar and a club?

A bar doesn't have a dance floor just a bar and that's really it maybe a lounge area

A club had a dance floor

I have noticed I do like to go to bars over clubs lately but I don't go as much. When I went to Vegas last month the gay club drink prices were crazy!! 15 for a rum and coke without tip.. most their gay bars were empty or filled with old ass men who can afford those prices

The non-messy gay ones.

I don't go out period. Especially to any gay gatherings or clubs. Gays tend to be caddy, obnoxious and rude. And I tend to be straight forward. So we all know where this is going.

I find it odd for people 31+ to be hanging at clubs (specifically, clubs frequented by 21- to 25-year-old folk,) it seems judgmental, but I think they should let the young people have their own spaces and moments.

Completely over it. I'm at that age where going to a club and seeing the gorls doing Circus Soleil acrobatics on the dance floor is definitely not my thing. And if I'm being honest, it probably never was. Always preferred a small gathering of close friends to clubs.

I dunno I think it's different for gays imo

I don't see the issue of going out to bars or clubs with your friends if you want too if you're over 30.. you deserve to have fun just like every one else and go out for drinks and socialize and mess a bit

Honestly I?ve only enjoyed a gay club and that was when l was out of town on a guys trip.

But as far as a gay club here where I?m from, i never enjoy it. I feel out of place like I?m not supposed and the people that be in there don?t make it better.

But these days, I?d rather go to a Bar

As you mature you change the TYPES of clubs you go to but the idea of clubbing in general should not have an age limit and people really shouldnt look down on people who like to go out as if staying home or giving spades with friends is higher than....

If you?re over 30, give it up.

Wait what!? Why?

I'm not over 30 but wondering why you feel someone 30 and over should stop going out to clubs.....

I find it odd for people 31+ to be hanging at clubs (specifically, clubs frequented by 21- to 25-year-old folk,) it seems judgmental, but I think they should let the young people have their own spaces and moments.

I dunno I think it's different for gays imo

I don't see the issue of going out to bars or clubs with your friends if you want too if you're over 30.. you deserve to have fun just like every one else and go out for drinks and socialize and mess a bit

!!!!

As you mature you change the TYPES of clubs you go to but the idea of clubbing in general should not have an age limit and people really shouldnt look down on people who like to go out as if staying home or giving spades with friends is higher than....

True. There are also alternatives to clubbing or staying in, no matter what age you are. There is a vast gray area there. And people should feel entitled/empowered to do whatever they choose.

I've only gone a handful of times and each time I hated it.

The loud music, close quarters, overpriced everything. No ma'am.

A bar or lounge mess are more my speed.

Bars >>>>

I feel like they encourage people to actually socialize and get to know each other.

Clubs are just loud and gross. Plus the people just dress to impress and get white wasted so they can hook up.

Indifferent tbh. I enjoy fellowship with friends moreso than the idea of "clubbing". You follow?

I don?t do the whole clubbing thing anymore. I go to bars more often but I prefer to drink at home. That way I can get completely drunk without the hassle of dealing with an rude Uber driver or possibly getting a DUI because I have a clean driving record and prefer to keep it that way.
