Title: Fireworks or gunshots?

I can't figure out what this noise is, and this is a peaceful white people neighborhood so wtf.

It sounds like the noise a trash can makes when you lean it over and pull it, but I looked outside and didn't see anything. All I heard was "pop pop" and this is like the 3rd time hearing it in the past 10 minutes.
