Ariana Grande and her security team don't want to take any chances with her upcoming "Sweetener/Thank U, Next" tour.
The "Breathin" songstress, 25, announced on Sunday that attendees are encouraged to use clear bags instead of regular purses to make the "super strict" security an easier process. The beefed-up security comes after a stop in Manchester on Grande's last tour was the target of a terrorist attack.
"dear sweetener / thank u next tour audience friends, we're sending out emails soon encouraging you to order a clear bag to bring your things into the venues as security is going to be very precise and smooth but for sure super strict," she wrote on Twitter and Instagram. "they're super cheap and simple but having them ahead of time will for sure help things go as smooth as possible so if you see this in your emails please don't ignore it! my team n i appreciate it very much! p.s. any clear bags within a certain size ... are totally fine to bring if you already have your own, i just wanted to make sure you saw these and knew about all this ahead of time so everything can go as smoothly and safely as possible. love you. thank you!"
Grande's clear bags weren't available for purchase online as of Sunday night, though fans appeared to be clamoring for them as soon as she announced the merch update.
"we all about to look snatched w our clear fanny packs. we love being safe in style!" tweeted one Arianator.
"i never thought clear bags were cute until ariana grande put one on," wrote another.
Venues such as Madison Square Garden and Barclays Center don't normally require clear bags. Ticketmaster, however, states the bags for Grande's shows must be "clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC."
