All of that remake shit aint good imo
The original by far. That original and the Disaster original
the only 2018 mess i REALLY enjoyed was "Too little too late". That one is really dope
I was just listening to the 2018 one, and it's just something about that bootleg ass beat on that one and the background vocals/adlibs that give it a whole other life. :gorlonfire:
They both serve their purpose neither one is better.

The original. The newer one sounds fake and uninspired.
The instrumentation sorta pisses me off too.
EVERY piece of this. YUCK!

At first, I preferred the original. But the new one has been snatching me. Her vocals were clearer and more pristine on the original, but I'm actually liking the grown-womanly earthiness to this new rasp/lower tone.
Fuck it. 2018>>>>>>> These HUSKY ass vocals over this knock just does something too me. :gorlonfire:
I listen to the 2018 more
But the instrumentation and her chest voice back then took the song to a more serious level
I get longtime kareoke from the 2018 version but i love the new adlibs and bridge and intro of 2018
The tonality of singing is different as well most because the chest voice wasnt as reasonant as it was in the original
Shes giving a virgin britney coo instead of a the dominatrix bad bitch vocal she gave originally
Who said too hoarseness to late 2018 was better?
2018 comijng for u was the best

!!!!!
The original one was so crisp, but this smokey voice.
She honestly sounds bored on the new one
Yeah recreating is never as inspired as actually creating i dont care how good u are
I'm glad she didn't even THINK about recording "Limbo" over again. Her throat woulda said no ma'am
Really bad mix on the new one

All this new shit is uninspired and not sang as well.......tbcfh
Definitely the original
that whole re recorded album sounds a fool tbh
her voice sounds weird on all the songs
There is a bit of a vocal decline in JoJo's voice to me. She still sounds great, but there's something about it that shows some kinda regression. Her enunciation when she's in her upper register sounds whiney and not as free. She kinda peaked during the Agape era vocally. I do like the Too Little Too Late re-record though. The climax >>>>
Nah
that new song with Pj Morton shows she still has it 100%

I kinda agree
Her vocals are hit or miss recently

Didn't she have bad effects of laryngitis?
She sounded best on #LoveJo to me.

Oh she definitely does. But for me, she sounds a lil more strained in her upper register. On Say So, she kinda stayed in her pocket - lower, mid range.

Yeah, laryngitis grabbed her by the FACE and her voice hasn't really been the same. It's gotten significantly better, but you can still hear her struggling live and on certain songs.
Yeah. It's a shame.
This is a perfect example of how she struggles in her upper register these days. And this is a random video that I found with one of my fave songs of hers where she sings higher up there. Even with the key brought down, sis still couldn't hang.

She sounded amazing on Lovejo 1 & 2 and that new song that was literally released last week. Fact is people feel in love or became to know the original so there's no replacing that with her adult vocals no matter how hard she tried.
