Title: Tweet's Album Listening Session
Post by: Lazarus on November 18, 2015, 05:46:46 PM
QuoteSinger/Songwriter, Tweet marks her return with her upcoming third studio album Charlene on January 22, 2016! As she kicks off her promo trail, she held an exclusive listening session in Atlanta last night (Nov. 17) to a packed house and a few of her celebrity friends.
With an honest heart and simple modesty that is rare among today?s musicians, Tweet previewed some of her tracks for the project and explained what they meant to her.

The first track from the set was titled Magic. The bass heavy, melodic record speaks on being in love with someone and not being able to find the words to explain it. The situation can?t be described as anything other than magic. Tweet told the crowd that a video for this track has already been shot so we can expect to set our eyes on it soon.

Another offering dealing along the lines of love is Priceless. There is such thing as love without strings attached and having no price tag on it. Tweet explains  that she loves you for being you and not what you can do for her.

Of course with love you have to deal with some heartache and disappointment, which she delivers on I Didn?t Know. The song is rooted in a quartet theme and explains how she wouldn?t have fallen in love with you if she had of known that you were  going to be the person to make her cry.

Never Should?ve Left You is a fun and groovy uptempo with a throwback feel. Tweet disclosed that she is not really one that loves uptempos, but by listening to this track no one would ever guess that. She definitely delivered.

And the last track previewed to us was I Was Created. In an honest revelation Tweet says she was lost after the release of her sophomore album. She stopped smoking and drinking and did everything in her power to align herself with God and after taking a step back she says God led her back to doing the one thing she really loved? music. This song is a testimony as to what she was created to do.

Even though there is a new generation of music lovers that may not be familiar with Tweet, she is not afraid to go back to basics and deliver a project that reminds us of what made us fall in love with her in the first place. She teamed up with longtime collaborators and producers Craig Brockman, Nisan Stewart, John ?Jubu? Smith, and Charlie Bereal to record the album and for those wondering, her good friend Missy Elliott will be featured on the set as well.
Be sure to pre-order CHARLENE now and pick that up on January 22, 2016!
