Yet white people can chart anywhere...
Billy Ray Cyrus hopped on the remix.
I love the song.
:ummwhat: chile, this is trap music...
It has many blends to it...
Taylor's POP songs chart on Country...
What makes THIS so different?
:ohwow:
And listen to the WHOLE song. There are some WHITE country artists who sound more rap, but yet, they chart on the country charts.
I feel like this could have been an opportunity to expand the genre a bit
country has a such a bad reputation as it is why not add a little diversity to it?
But why is this BOP so short?

It will be #1 on the Hot 100 next week.
It will break through. It is undeniable.
Lil Nas X feels like his song is Country Trap.
The perfect blend of Trap and Country.
I love it.

Having a short song is the perfect element for a SMASH and replay value. You keep wanting more.
"We Belong Together" is like that... it has no bridge...

We Belong To GOD is 3 and a half minute long. That is normal.

2:27 minutes
And it's a smash
:ohwow:
Catchy and short = perfect blend
It has elements of how short Motown songs were. No more than 3 minutes.
Shit, even Queen Aretha's RESPECT is 2:28
:ohwow:

WOW this song is terrible :ummwhat:
But it's sad that it wasn't allowed to chart. Country music has consisted of many different singers releasing the same tired compositions since the beginning of time. Why is he being shut out for trying something different?

I see both sides.
The song is definitely not a country song but rather a trap tea with country elements - one could definitely argue whether it has "enough" of those elements to be considered a country song
However, one could argue how many R&B/hip-hop elements "White Iverson" has - considering that he was basically singing like a country/rock artist over knock. It's another mix of elements. Didn't see this pulled from the R&B/Hip-Hop charts, though. Made it to #5. lol
Both songs are absolutely amazing. Love the mashup

Will it? That's awesome!
Weird considering black people created country. They don't remove all these crackers from the R&B/Hip Hop charts when they throw a rapper on their pop tracks.
BBb
where was this energy when gaga's First few singles were charting on the R&B/Hip Hop charts? Wasn't shit about em R&B or hip hop
