It depends. I would give my gmom a key because she respect privacy but I would never give my mom a key because she feels like she can pop up without asking.

That's why I started this thread.
My cousin is having a hard time of how to get his keys back from his parents who show up unannounced. It's not always easy as "give it back". :dead: Better off not giving the shit out to begin with.

My mom and sister yea, and my best friends other than that nah.
When I was in college my best friend gave me the spare key to her car and oddly enough there was a situation when it was needed.
I'm not opposed to it as long as there's some boundaries set in place.
