All I Have
I was crazy over Ashanti and I really liked tweet song second. I just couldn't get into full moon singles tbh.
Only one I actually bought and didn't bootleg was "All I Have". Didn't buy "Full Moon" until I bought "Afrodisiac".
Then Tweet
Amerie
Ashanti
Brandy
Tweet
Def Ashanti & Tweet!
Didn't get into Full Moon until after Afrodisiac
I liked Amerie's singles but didn't get into the album until my adult years too

I remember those time B-). You was the shit if you had the real album and not just the cd single.
Brandy! Even if it took me a while to get into it. It was way above what I really understood at that age. But the voice, harmonies and vocal acrobatics kept me in awe...
Definitely owned Brandy and Ashanti's. Didn't get into Tweet and Amerie until my adult years. They slay.
Brandy of course
ashanti
i bought full moon together with afrodisiac
I remember begging my mom to buy full moon for my sisters as one of her graduation gifts. Insisting that she would love it :dead:
I played that shit tf OWT! This is when I knew Bran was my fave and was different from the rest. Ugh
:stressed:
Full Moon...loved the singles, and was a big Brandy fan.
Ashanti
They all really slayed huh?
Full Moon
:loose2when:
I still remember B filming the "What About Us?" video and I knew she wasn't going to let me down

why would you do that if it was good?
the album is terrible
Didn't really get into All I have until I was an adult. And I never quite got the hype with that tweet girl. Still don't
Ashanti and Tweet
Own all but bought Brandy's first, Tweet second, Ashanti third in 2002. I bought Amerie's like a year or two later.
I bought all of them except Ashanti's shit
In 2002 for me it was Amerie, Ashanti, Tweet, Brandy
As an adult it goes FM, All I Have, Southern, Ashanti
Ashanti is the only one I never actually bought.
Mind you all these albums flooding out right after 2001 had me a bit conflicted about all of them but the music was good.
Full Moon was the first time I ever pre-ordered anything
Brandy and tweet
but i gotta admit i did buy 3 of them ... one of them was a disappoint... Brandy, Tweet and Amerie... the latter was...
What a great moment for R&B
So much talent and innovation coming from different artists
At that time? Def Ashanti and then Brandy...

Full' or Tweet
the one that broke records...
I bought Full Moon as soon as it came out. I remember stanning for the WHOLE album the first week and then I let my friend borrow it for a week and was going thru withdrawals. What About Us was everything to me and I remember logging on with my dial up connection to the foreverbrandy website to listen to the snippet of I Thought which I looped over and over. Those were the damn days. I stanned from the very beginning.
Full Moon
Ashanti's album was amazing.
FM but I also liked Ashanti
I discovered that album a lot later
All I Have >>>>>
That album is damn near perfection.

Voodoo and Rescue>>>
I actually did buy Full Moon and Southern Hummingbird. I bootlegged the other two. I had no idea Amerie's album would be so amazing. Even Ashiti's debut was pretty good.
This is how I would rank them?
1. Brandy
2. Amerie
3. Tweet
4. Ashiti
The top 3 are bonafide classics imo.

Brandy, Full Moon.
It was that album that prepared me for my stan-ship in 2004 with Afro.
I had to wait for my siblings to buy the real albums tho, back then. Too young.
:dead:
The only time I got my own CDs is when I visited my cousins in Brooklyn and bought the bootlegs on Sutter Ave.
$10 got me two albums, a McChicken, fries and 50 cent soda.

I copied Justin Timberlake - Justified allegedly illegally
Albums from 2002 i still listen to a lot are India Arie- Voyage to India. Of course Xtina - Stripped and Ms Dynamite - A little deeper

same here! I remember when i first saw the What About Us video. I couldn't believe it was Brandy! It was so different, and she looked different. I mean with her style. I was so shook! dead:
Yeah, Full Moon deserved that Grammy.

It really did. She will get one though. I'm sure.
What Grammy did it deserved? I love Brandy and Full Moon is that girl (after Afro) but the right album won.
It took a while for me to appreciate FM. I really expected her to make another NSN. I was happy that there were so many songs on the album..so songs like Full Moon, Nothing, Wow and Come a little bit closer were more my style but later on I got into songs like I thought and What about us.
Ashanti's debut had lyrics that could have been written by a kindergartner and the vocals of a any ole girl from the block who likes to sing karaoke. It was absolutely disgusting

When they called her the princess of R&B and hiphop..that was so weird
(https://i.makeagif.com/media/10-09-2015/XdK_kl.gif)
but years later I checked out Call, Scared, Over, Movies, rescue and I was like ok Ashanti
I remember I broke my tv and couldn't watch tv for a week. The same week the kids was talking about The new Brandy and Aaliyah video at the lunch table. I was so hype bout Bran but was more confused about Aaliyah because she was died. I didn't believe them lol.
That's crazy I remember Li More Than A Woman and Ghan's What About Us premiering on 106 & Park the same week
:stressed:
I love Bran but Amerie has this one
