As much time as it takes to do a cgi movie but all they need is just a few months to re-do the main character? Plea.
Controversial marketing is nothing new
How dumb can a person be? Who in their right mind would think a company would have to INCREASE their budget (on a movie that's probably not gonna break even) to have their editors slave more hours using more super computers to render to the mess for shits n giggles
Who said anything about increasing a budget?
:disgusted: if they had to re-edit an entire film like this from top to bottom it damn sure isn't free. Most CGI films budgets go to the editors
So yea, they'd need to be paid MORE.
Which is why we said they probably had both versions of Sonic already done before that first trailer was released. You ok?
:udontlookok:

Baph is dumb
The profit benefits in the longrun will far outweigh offending a small portion of people so having to invest a little more coin means nothing. CGI/animated films almost always go through several redesign stages anyway. Even if the design was flawless from the start there would still be a group of people someone unhappy about SOMETHING with the film. You can't please everybody...that's just reality, and that's what makes the shock and controversy easier to swallow.
They work perfectly in the digital/social media age.

Not this boy requoting his own mess :dead:
He really want to be right. Wrong self.
This movie (like most movies) are never finished when they release trailers...which is why some movies get pushed back or shelved completely after multiple trailers.
Nobody would have to re edit an entire film
Dummy
:disgusted: you don't know wtf you're talking about. The character design of Sonic was finished. Sure... there could've been things not 100% done, more voice acting or some things that needed MINOR tweaking. But when they release a trailer it's done.
And if they had a AlTerNaTivE version it wouldn't have taken 7 damn months to get a trailer up.
They had to redesign their entire main character and METICULOUSLY edit every frame. Stupid country cracker
Nothing was done dummy and it still isn't done. Like

gorl those changes were a few button pushes from the main prototype and same animation applied to it :kii:
Baph is getting tossed all kinds of ways in here

Yeh they made two movies
Or that original shit trailee than this better one
UPDATED, Saturday AM: Refresh for more analysis and chart After a string of pricey duds with Gemini Man, Terminator: Dark Fate, and Rhythm Section, Paramount gets back on track with its net $87M production of Sonic the Hedgehog, which could potentially score the best video game feature adaptation debut of all-time with a 3-day of $53.99M and 4-day of $64.3M according to industry estimates this morning. Anything over $54.3M in 3-days beats the previous record set by Legendary/Warner Bros.' Pokemon: Detective Pikachu. On a 4-day basis, Sonic does beat Detective Pikachu as the best start for a videogame feature, the former pic earning $58M over a non-holiday period last May. Paramount is seeing on their end a $50M 3-day and $60M 4-day for Sonic which is still great.

The movie was awesome! I'm the biggest Sonic fan. I've always wanted a movie and wondered how they would create one, because it's so hard to create a storyline for a game as complex as the series was.
They were creative enough to make the movie appealing to children and special for all of the millennials who played the game; and they kept it current. I also loved how they included people of color in the movie. GO SEE IT!
T moblie has a deal and we can get a $4 ticket. I'm going to see it.
