Not surprising but what the hell is synch?
what is synch
and this is kinda..sad
Sync is usually referred to music that is being used for T.V. Shows, Movies, Video Games etc... I don't know why it's up there unless RIAA somehow also counts it.
Digital downloads kinda came and WENT huh?
This year was the least amount of physicals I've purchased in the past 10 years. I'm still gonna buy physicals though I like having them and I have a dope display of my collection at my crib.
And this is why it's a KI to even track iTunes positions.
iTunes doesn't even mean shit anymore.
Spotify >>>
and I started collecting some vinyl, especially old ones like NSN and FM.

I love the size of the artwork, it is like collecting art prints sometimes. Still have to find Afro :/
I don't like streaming. A lot of the music I would wanna listen to isn't on there. And the artists barely get any money from streams (except Tidal I guess).

The artists barely get any money from record sales either. Sales r pretty much for the label. Always been that way.
It is taking time but now I finally see some artists upload singles with b-sides and remixes. I was checking some old old All Saints today..found some songs I loved back in the day
I'm looking for a place to get rid of my CDs tbh
iTunes has been on a decline for years now thanks to streaming. It depends on the artist though. Someone like Adele would probably push a couple hundred thousand on the chart even today.

Nah. There's more to it. First off, the type of contract they signed. Mainstream artists tend to have 360 contracts, but most indie artists benefit a lot from record sales.
This is an interesting article about Esthero
