A damn shame.
Not surprised
Eek
The marketing was horrible though
Can't say it's shocking
They should've done a harley solo mess.
Or a Harley n Ivy team up like in the new cartoon.
Dc always gets it wrong when they toss the characters together.
Saw it coming
Yikes

It basically was a Harley solo movie... It was misleading to call it birds of prey bc the group really didn't do anything to the end of the movie

Ack. Still going to see it when I have time to spare.
I didn't know it came out this weekend. I still want to see it.
I'm still going to see it tonight or tomorrow. And this would've been a better sell if it was Gotham Sirens liked they planned with Harley, Ivy and Catwoman. Nobody cared about the others.
The budget is only 80 million though, by the end of the worldwide run they should make the money back or break even.
It was pretty good
My friend said it was terrible.

Kinda DOA worldwide.
Its no aquaman :raycharles2urmess:
It looked pretty shit so I'm not surprised.
Also, I've never liked Margot as Harley.
Did any of you actually see it? Did you like it?
Some of you zørls tried aquaman and i loved it. Went back several times
Looked a mess.
Enough of all these shitty superhero movies.
First Charlie's Angels. Now this. :dead:

I don't like her as Harley either. She's not a good fit.
:scrumptious:
It looks corny as hell

It's Rated R, not bad.
Not bad!
The industry experts are saying something else.

yeah no
Those are horrible numbers :dead:
Are Harkey fans even old enough to buy rated R tickets
The trailer was horrible
I'd love a darker film adaptation of Harley
:ohwow:
And an actress that can pull it off

This corny goofy mess was bound to flop downe

Critical acclaim? Where? It wasn't good...

The RT score is good. Lets not do too much.

:raycharles2urmess:
It was good but it def could have been BETTER
There was a huge opportunity to bring Poison Ivy in
It should have been her to break Harley out of prison at the end of Suicide Squad
It really irked me to hear Margot talk about deciding the direction
Could have been Harley, Ivy and Catwoman but went with Birds of Prey because nobody really knows them :uhh:
I mean it made 75 Million overall not that much of flop hope they weren't expecting 100 Million

6.8/10 on IMBD and 80% on RT
Doesn't quite read critical acclaim. Cheers to anyone that enjoyed it. I enjoyed it for what it was but I regret paying for it. Would've been better if it was just sent to Netflix.
And I wouldn't consider it's opening numbers a flop. Like others have said, I wish it was more serious and not so goofy.
It doesn't matter what yall consider. Its what the industry says.
Production costs!
And what about the 100s of million that went into the global promotion of this mess?
Also a flop first week means theaters will drop the amount of screenings a week which means even less money in upcoming weeks.

80 million budget. :raycharles2urmess:
They dont factor promo into the equation when it comes to budget
Thats why its always said movies need to make twice the amount it cost to produce it
This isnt getting a sequel. They'll either reboot the mess or never touch this story gain :dead:

!!
This is gonna end up at less than 200 million
:dead:
Which is horrible. DC never gets it right.

No they don't its usually half the budget production. So that's like 120 - 125 million. Still in good standing after the 1st weekend.

QuoteTwo years ago, the cost had crept up to $175 million globally. Now, studios say it has hit the $200 million mark per picture -- a 33 percent increase from the $150 million spent in 2007 on the first Transformers.
