Its literally the same exact melody. I can see whomever is involved with writing and producing Ex feelin some kinda way about it.

:uhh: kkkmmn it aint that serious. they do sound very similar so ppl will compare. i think the producer was just lazy on this. sampling a song that just came out like a year ago with the chorus having the same melody - to me, its not really a sample - just a producer/writer re-using the same melody.

the writers of "Ex" are credited and will get paid, I don't see the issue.

:uhh: who said that? and WBT and BWY sound nothing alike melodically in the chorus. These 2 songs are exactly the same. And its the actual chorus.
Again, I like both songs. Love them actually. IMO, and this is my opinion, I still think the producer shouldnt have made the melodies the exact same. It's one thing to sample a song from 10 years ago. But to 'sample' a song from a year or two ago, to me, just doesnt sit well with me. If the artists in question were Ariana Grande and Dua Lipa, it would've probably been a bigger conversation on social media, but its JoJo and Kiana so...

WBT & BWY were released a year apart and it was literally told to them that they wanted an exact copy of WBT for Mary. That's my point, it ain't a big deal, artists have done this before and the are properly credited.
Never heard of Kiana Le until just now tbh.
both sound good tho.

Not gonna beat this dead horse with these examples that arent comparable. Love both songs. :) I hope it does well for JoJo. She deserves it after all these yrs. I think this project will be best since Agape.
