Never thought about it but Lisa really fucked them up. This girl really ruin the group but made them at the same time. However, he touched on a lot of things I never thought about and it all makes sense. If you are a fan, it's definitely worth the watch.

I enjoy fanmail more than CSC
He's a member here. Well he used to be. He's a Apenet Stan.
I will put Fanmail and 3D on first because it felts better with the music of today. But CSC and the debut went well with the 00s music direction to me. It's so weird.
He need to come back.
Chillin was a slut
Fanmail is awful minus a couple songs. They are lucky to have had "No Scrubs" become such a hit. I tried listening to it about a month ago and could barely sit through it
Let me get in

Yea their albums are actually pretty weak. CSC is the most solid one but I think Fanmail has higher Highs.
70% of 3D was assjuice
DC dimmed TLC's light. In the year 2000 and beyond they became the more popular group with Say My Name, Jumpin Jumpin, Independent Women and Survivor. From 2000 to 2002 TLC werall doing their own thing. Chilli was in a new relationship with pop star Usher, Tboz was a newlywed and new mother, and Lisa was planning a wedding, recording a solo album, overseeing Blaque, and doing her spiritual cleanses for weeks at a time overseas. They were older, in their 30s, and just doing their own thing. Lisa died suddenly and they refused to replace her, 3D was released and flopped and that was it. They peaked and left behind a great legacy.
hun it's an election year
I better not hear no bullshit from you come November
i think TLC's music in general requires a type of ear
it's certainly not for everyone (at least the album tracks)

But I like where he was going. What was his overall explanation? Reflecting back... Fanmail did kinda die after Unpretty. What were even the next singles? :uhh:
Scrubs kinda WAS just the era.
And 3D just felt.... CHEAP and late. It wasn't nearly as innovative as the earlier projects, especially following behind Fanmail.

DC just wasn't as universal as TLC.... TLC's force during their peak hit DIFFERENT.
DC was more successful in the long run, in terms of standing the test of time and remaining current. But at the same time, it's just an unfair comparison with the missing factor of Lefteye. The group was simply just DONE after that. It wasn't a DC/Beyonce kinda situation where only one girl was important

She was way more creative than T-Boz (who has ALWAYS been my favorite member) and especially Chilli. At least Tionne wrote some shit.

The futuristic mess came from Belly and it was already being done. TLC took it to a higher level since they had the money vs hip hop rappers.
That may be true but to me, it still felt more like Lefteye's vision than the others even if it wasn't.
Yea she decided to go that direction but it was still limited. If you look at the Fanmail, era vs Supanova and Blaque debut, you can see where Lisa wanted it to go. They called Blaque cheesy and it really was like the Supernova video and album cover.

It looks that way because of the amount of songs she was on and she was in rehab during most of the recording of that album.
However, she wasn't at all dissatisfied with the direction of that album. She was with "Fanmail" and that's why my point still stands. It came out of her own mouth.
Anyway, I heard that THIS was supposed to be their fourth single on CSC, but LA Reid went with "Diggin on You" over this.
CSC was 5 before Fanmail the group was still kids. They really didn't care about creative control then. It's was just about living like, getting out the hood and partying. But after that, they all grew up and care into their own. Lisa was against Creep as well. She didn't like anything but Waterfall tbh.

I know that. Literally just said she wasn't impressed with Fanmail. So I didn't understand why she had to "lie" and say CSC was her favorite all because she had "more involvement as opposed to Fanmail" when that wasn't the case if she wasn't really involved in either. :uhh:
She didn't lie. She didn't LIKE the direction of "Fanmail" so therefore it's NOT her favorite album. :uhh:
And she had more involvement on "OoOoOoh on the TLC Tip" than any of TLC's album so what exactly are you giving?
:dead:
Look go find you some business, because I don't even know how you came into this argument and I don't think you know either. :dead:
I know she didn't lie dumb ass, hence the quotes. I was responding to the poster that stated she only said that (picked CSC over Fanmail) because she wasn't that much involved. When that wasn't the case if she wasn't that involved in either.

Lisa didn't like that album because of her lack of creative input.
If that was the case then she would've picked the album she had more creative involvement in, y'all not making sense
:disgusted:
Umm you're not making sense.
She's never liked that album and she's always spoken out about how she wasn't involved much creatively on "Fanmail."
Like what are you even talking about.
CSC she didn't have much involvement at all either.
It looks that way because of the amount of songs she was on and she was in rehab during most of the recording of that album.
However, she wasn't at all dissatisfied with the direction of that album. She was with "Fanmail" and that's why my point still stands. It came out of her own mouth.

First of all bitch, you quoted me. That's HOW I came into it. And now that you don't know what you're talking about, you're trying to name call. Fuck out of here.
She was more involved with Fanmail but didn't like it because they didn't go all the way with her vision. She wasn't as passionate about her work doing CrazySexyCool. That's what we are trying to get you to understand Navygurl.

And what I'm trying to get your slow ass to realize is. She picked CSC over Fanmail, so y'all in here creating theories and concoctions<<<<<<her saying directly out of her own mouth CSC>>>>Fanmail
What's hard to understand? :disgusted:
Why are you disrespecting everyone to get your point across?
Damn CSC>>>>>Fanmail and everybody agrees and the three stooges are sitting on their stump fuming
:scrumptious:
And she also said she hated the direction of Fanmail as well. OUT OF HER OWN MOUTH. There are no theories or concoctions to create when she said out of her own mouth.
But alright.

All her life her own face had been a mystery. The almond eyes, straight ebony hair and voluptuous lips were a striking, but mysterious, mosaic: neither black nor white, neither Asian nor Hispanic. It made for a tough childhood for Rozanda Thomas better known as Chilli, the melodic voice of the Grammy-winning R&B group TLC.
Miss Rozanda Ocelean Thomas was born on February 27, 1971 in Atlanta to a 17 year old girl named Ava Thomas. Ava had an fling with a soldier stationed in Fort Benning,GA. His name is Abdul Ali. He's of East Indian and Middle Eastern descent. He left Ava without noticing that she was pregnant with Rozanda.
While growing up, Chilli had experienced racism first hand. She had fights with her fellow students, was harassed by neighbors at the housing project while growing up, and was discriminated against by strangers because of her multiracial heritage. She had a hard time telling them because she never knew her father. She said, "When you look different, it's a big deal."

tlc was cute for lil ying ying ying 'round the house but they were not the musical innovators folks like to hype them up to be. they were three tone deaf girls with the right production team behind them tbh.
