Does anyone have any questions? nothing crazy of course...
Oooh shit. Now I'm blank.
can you guarantee us at least 4 video this time?
How many tracks is the album?
Have you picked an album title?
Any features besides Chance ?
DO you already know the singles you want for the album?
You have an extensive catalog and a lot of your songs you have never sang live. When you go on tour again what songs are you planning on singing live that you havent done yet?
I am interested what she's been up to of course
I'm interested if she's been writing
and recording process
Maybe also if she feels her voice is changing? (During NSN - FM - Afro there was definitely a difference, maybe tone doesn't change anymore but I wonder if she uses her voice differently/learned or likes new things)
How is this new album different from your last album, vocally and sonically?

Can we get a legit tour?
Will we ever get some anniversary vinyls?? I still need Afrodisiac in my collection. A lot of people are collecting vinyl again, would be cool.
LaShawn is maybe a difficult topic to discuss..I would save that for the end of the interview. Also Kenisha Pratt..

Besides Chance, are there any other features on the album?
A lot of artists over the past couple years have been citing you as a huge influence vocally. How does that affect your approach to your music now and do you consider yourself an R&B icon as many do?
Who are some of the artists you listen to now?
You have considered Full Moon to be your best album for years now. Do you still believe that it is, or do you think that this new album has topped it?
Would she ever consider doing something like a masterclass to teach how she sings (especially in the studio)? Any acting gigs coming up?
When's the album coming out?

yeah, that's all I wanna know
How many tracks can we anticipate
I think the question about features has already been answered (no)
I also think the tour question might be a dunce right now considering the current climate lol
When can we expect the album? (A date...not "very soon" lol)
Who did you work with? (Writers, producers)
What do you want people to know/understand about you after they hear the album?
What's the vibe of the album and are there any other collabs
How much control does she have over the promotion and release?
Will she be active on social media to connect with fans?

Only question I care about
1.) why hasn't she reunited with Rodney jerkins musically?
2.) what is her top 2 favorite songs from the new album
3.) describe the sound of the new album?
4.) how does she feel her voice has changed since 211?
5.) who is she currently listening to? Besides herself and Whitney
6.) is her book still coming out?
7.) Does she want to work with Timbaland again? How does she feel about aprodisiac looking back?
8.) what is her favorite album of hers and why?
9.) Will she ever bring Bran Nu out again?
10) ask her to sing a little of Baby Mama and when should we expect it to be released ?
11.) the EP she was working on with camper did some of the songs make the album or what ever happened to that project?
12.) why doesn't she perform any songs from human? Stars feel like she disowns that album .

Can she begin performing any unreleased fan favorites live (and switch up this routine set list)

these questions come off as very demanding.
Is she open to EPs vs. LPs?
1. For her new era, will she revamp her set/performances, add a production set, more female dancers, background singers, choreography from only JaQuel and Chris, maybe go back to Fatima or collab with Bankhead, perform more fan fav/album cuts vs her singles?
2. Visuals is important in this day and age, how does she feel about being more visually present during this next era in terms of her style, music videos, and any other projects?
3. Would she consider doing a visual album or short form films of some of the songs from the album to tell a story/theme and show case her acting more?
4. What are her thoughts about award shows, making red carpet appearances?
5. As we had short era for what her fans considers as her best albums (Full Moon & Afrodisiac) has she considered dedicating concerts to perform those respective albums only for her fans? Potentially getting it recorded and premiered on a streaming service like Netflix or Hulu?
6. Why didn't she properly celebrate the 20th anniversary of her biggest album, Never Say Never? And will she consider celebrating the 25th anniversary with a mini tour and re-issue of the album with some exclusives?
7. Will she consider doing Broadway (a new character) and major movie roles in the near future?
8. Can she ensure she will have at least 4 singles for this album? First two her choice, 2nd two fan favorites based on streaming stats?
9. We noticed her recording process was documented, will we see a short film of it come to life during the album release?
10. With the emergence of young black/POC creatives ruling the industry, has she considered rebuilding her team as she's independent now and letting fresh blood who understands/respects her legacy and proper fields work for her (i.e. ME)? Lol

Thank you! A lot of us question her visuals or lack of, so I wanna know her thoughts about that topic especially since it's so important in music these days
The sound of R&B has changed a lot since the release of Two Eleven in 2012. More of a trap soul, sleepy vibe. How did you approach this current wave to your new album? Are you keeping it classic R&B, are you merging the old with the new, or would you say your sound is different from everything else now?

an as you mentioned, she is an actress! she can totally use that and act her ass of in a video for a change. would really love that. :loose2when:
Her vocal approach is quite different every era, so my questions are always about that because she fascinates me. I would like to know about where she feels her voice is right now in terms of its quality and how she seems to be pushing herself more than ever in certain areas
I also would LOVE to know the difference between this new album and what she'd been working on previously in late 2014/early with Pop & Oak. Because that was a completely different sound and obviously due to Chameleon and legal/contractual mess, she wasn't able to move forward with it before leaking Beggin n Pleadin' on her own in 2016

Zank said don't tell me what questions to ask ch :ummwhat:
`And of COURSE i'd love for you to touch on her being independent to an extent. I know you all discussed it with her in 2017, but now her team
and everything is a lot more solidified and clear cut.
PLEASE ask about the process in building/creating this album and how much fun it was and has been to kind of take it back to the days where she was locked in with a certain group of writers and producers and could just create. In the previous era with TwoEleven, she had to make a lot of demos her own (and she did) but it doesn't seem as if she accepted many demos this time if at all.
I wanna know if she feels as if this is her best album yet and i wanna know about her chemistry with the songwriter Kaydence, AKA "pen piper". She wrote with Brandy a LOT on this album and in 2011 in an interview with TrueExclusives, she said she didn't believe in her own songwriting ability which has also seemed to change this time around.

Because that was a completely different sound and obviously due to Chameleon and legal/contractual mess, she wasn't able to move forward with it before leaking Beggin n Pleadin' on her own in 2016
Wait! She leaked B&P although she was still stuck with Chameleon? Did they sue her for that? I mean she even released a video for that song and was/ is making money off of it.
Yea BreyOFF said he could have sued her for that.
Mean Ghan did not give a fuck at this point! 😂
I don't know how I missed that. :ohwow: Breyon really seems like such a snake looking back.
Ask her what artists she looking to collaborate with? Or who has reached out to her for a collaboration? Also mention I said she should do a song with BJ and one with SiR

ME)? Lol

Rodney hasn't even done his battle with B.cox yet, so the timing is perfect cuz more Praise and STREAMS are coming as a result of that. Trust

Does she have any plans on ever trying to gain the rights of some of the unreleased music that the fans love? We'd love a 10 track compilation of those "freedom", "second thought" + "sweet nothings" immediately come to me
I would love if she could perform some songs from her previous album that she's never performed live before.

ME)? Lol
Ugh, your MIND >>>>
Buddha don't let her punk you out. I know you respect her a lot but we want answers lol.
Will you be releasing DVD or documentary of the album process?
Ok now all the music questions I approve of , but now I need you to make her answer this question. She has enough money and influence why hasn't she pushed for and paid off whomever to get all the seasons of Moesha on DVD or Blu-Ray? Do not let her shy away from this question, the black community needs answers now 🗣🗣

Does anyone have any questions? nothing crazy of course...
Questions:
1. Has she ever thought about introducing SyRai to the limelight i.e give her experience on stage performing ? Possibly starting as one of her BG vocalists for live shows ?
2. What's been her strategy for coming up with material for B7?
(Does she write first? Listen to beats first? Create a theme/concept first?)
3. What has this Rona experience been like for she and her family ?
4. Does she plan to be more active on Social Media w/ fans and Insta Live once the era kicks off ?
5. How many tracks are we getting this album? Any other collabs?

THIS!!!
I'd also add...
1. How did the deal with management deal Maverick materialize and how does working with Maverick differ from previous management experiences?
2. There was a rumor that you'd purchased back all your masters. Is this true and if so, what plans do you have for your back catalog?
3. Some of your most commercially successful work was with Atlantic Records. What is your relationship with Atlantic Records today and are there any plans for your past work (e.g. reissues, anniversary editions, unreleased work, etc.)?
4. The 2019 appearance planned for Kennedy Center with the National Symphony Orchestra was anticipated as a career-defining moment for many of your fans. Do you have any regrets regarding this planned appearance and are there any plans to make this up to your fans - either with a new date and/or a full-featured concert with a proper release (e.g. Netflix, Apple Music, etc.)
5. it appears that you kept the producer and writer list small for your upcoming album with DJ Camper helming most of the alum production. This feels very reminiscent of your approach to Never Say Never and Full Moon. How was the process of working with DJ Camper different and/or similar to working with Rodney?
6. Your upcoming release marks the longest break between albums that you have had in your 25+ year career. How did this break from music differ from previous breaks and how did it influence your music?
7. Do you ever have plans for a live album (especially since she doesn't tour a lot)?
8. It seems that you've reconnected with Mariah Carey in recent years. Have there been any talks about a possible collaboration?
9. Jaycen Joshua recently posted a snippet of your album to IG and Justin Timberlake commented, saying that you are still once of his favorite voices and a few months back, we saw you both in the studio with the Neptunes. Have the two of you collaborated in any capacity?
10. During an interview with South Africa press in 2017, you mentioned that you'd collaborated with Sam Smith twice. What happened to those collaborations and will fans ever have an opportunity to hear them?

ME)? Lol
10. During an interview with South Africa press in 2017, you mentioned that you'd collaborated with Sam Smith twice. What happened to those collaborations and will fans ever have an opportunity to hear them?
Come on journalist! :ATLcameo: You better come with those receipts! :receipts:
I'm also quite curious what she's done with Sam Smith. I don't like his tone but he has made some good songs.

Ok now all the music questions I approve of , but now I need you to make her answer this question. She has enough money and influence why hasn't she pushed for and paid off whomever to get all the seasons of Moesha on DVD or Blu-Ray? Do not let her shy away from this question, the black community needs answers now 🗣🗣
It wouldn't be up to her
Pretty sure there were many guest stars and a lot of them performed or had their music played on the show. Copyright has been the main obstacle from my understanding
there are SOOOO many damn shows with music in them or revolved around music where other artists had their music played and recorded by someone else on the show or the artists performed it themselves. Moesha is NOT the only show that this has happened too and If it is a copyright and they have to get approval i just think someone doesnt want to pay for the approvals. imo
maybe
But there's a reason season 1 is like the only thing out there
i mean thats true but i think its a good question. I would want brandy to go into more detail about it cause it doesnt make any sense that a show with this much of an impact cant be found on ANY of the MANY streaming platforms
None at all. I want answers stat!!
!!!!!!
i think her not having her tv show that was HUGE in the black community is almost as bad as her not having all her music videos on youtube and you see we just got that but maybe there is more coming in the future but until them budda put the moesha streaming question at the top of the list

I don't want any of that drama with the NSO people to restart, Brandy doesn't need that negative energy right before a new release. In any way I would hope the whole thing is resolved and all the parties involved have moved on at this point.

Also we need Cinderella (movie) and the soundtrack on streaming services. They would make so much money.
I'm interested in knowing what happened to the Sam Smith duet. Will it be released or was it supposed to be one of the songs he did with Normani or Demi Lovato?
There are a lot of questions about releasing things, deals with big companies like Netflix, tours.. I wonder if it's even in her power. I mean she used to have a big record label to help her. I'm not sure if that is even the deal... maybe we can't expect too much.. maybe I'm pessimistic but I just want music on Spotify and a couple of music videos. I hope she doesn't get overwhelmed by all the demands.
TBH as Brandy barely tours, as fans we kinda deserve a one time concert experience on a streaming service... I think she can do it b/c of all them damn washed comedians can get deals, I'm sure she can get a distribution deal too... now it doesn't need a grand premiere like Homecoming but I need some legit cameras, edits and effects of a concert of hers in high quality living somewhere to always reference...

Right. I dont need her interviews to be centered around that. She's just gonna give a vague answer anyway.

Yeah. I think for one of her 1st interviews, as much as we want to know some answers, it will all be too much. Why did this not happen, when will this version of the album come out, where's this collab, when will a netflix special come out, etc etc. These are questions that can come later on in the era. Buddha wont have time to delve into all these issues. He may just get to ask 10-12 questions and I want them to be more about the music. The interview is not just for fans only - its also for the general public as well.

I would really like an answer to what happened with Brandy and the NSO. As a fan, I spent $2000 for nothing. Then the same day she canceled she announced Jazz in the Gardens and since I live in Miami, I bought tickets to that and then she acted drunk and fell. I'm still kind of sour about the whole situation. I think the fans that spent money to go see her deserve a real answer.

Yes indeed
Or she can talk about mental health and God with Vaughn. Buddha is always great at asking music related questions..always finds those random music facts we want to know. I would love to hear more about the direction of the music because for a decade it has been very vague.
I do want to know how she is feeling but yeah maybe also too private. We all know she's been through a lot.

Ok good!
1. The DC show. What happened? Sounds like it could have been an epic, industry buzzing moment. Fans traveled from all over the country and were pissed and beyond disappointed.
2. What role is Sonja playing in her career at the moment? Is she her manager, consultant or liaison between the label.
3. What happened to high fashion Brandy?
4. Would she ever consider doing a toned down spot show where it's just her and her band and some background singers like MTV unplugged.
5. Does she keep or have access to all the music she has recorded in the last 2-5 years.
6. Would she ever work with Timb or Rodney again?
7. Who is the A/R that heard DYKWYH and decided it shouldn't have been a single? I need a name.
8. Will management try to get her a spot at the next BET awards show?
9. Is she interested and willing to write a book to tell her COMPLETE story.
10. She should interact with her fans more on Twitter. Mariah Carey gets so much love and she interacts with the lambs all the time.
11. Has she considered going to the UK to work with some of the amazing talent over there?
12. Who is her favorite choreographer that she's worked with?
13. Does she miss dancing with Ai and Ashley?
14. Why didn't she headline the Femme it Forward shows?
15. Can she just start jumping on Insta Live with random singers, and just sing. So many singers are inspired by here and it would be amazing to see her sing and harmonize with others.
16. Does she regret doing Zoe Moon?

I'm sorry but some of these questions are just waaay too much. I'm not too concerned cause I know Buddha will ask the RIGHT questions like he always does. But this will be one of Brandy's first interview to jump start the era and y'all really want the talk on the blogs and social media to be why she cancelled or didnt headline shows and why she doesn't interact with her fans, and why this old ass song from 10+ years ago wasnt a single? :uhh: This AMBUSH! :kii:

ME)? Lol
Ugh, your MIND >>>>

Somewhat related question but...
- What writers and producers did you work with on this album and how did these writer/producer collaborations come about?
- What is the inspiration behind the "Baby Mama" video and how did the concept come about?
