According to Wikipedia, Brandy didn't know that "He is" was a gospel song?
Quote"He Is (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/He_Is)", the next song, is a love song with a classy piano and sparse drum track;[21] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Full_Moon_(Brandy_album)#cite_note-popmatters-21) speaking about God (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God) in third person (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grammatical_person), Norwood was unaware, the song was secretly conceptualized as a gospel (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gospel_music) song by its writers.

definitely, it's beautiful how universal music can be. It was the same with Musiq Soulchild's "Love". It's really a song about god but the label replaced the word "Lord" with "Love" to make it more commercially appealing. That's one of my all time fav tracks...guess I'm a Christian at heart :letsmessfag:
Now I need to re-listen to "All in me"!

and the way it's arranged like one of her normal singing verses. Different layers CHIMING in towards the end of it. The way that part is SPED up, the "everyday, every night" part immediately afterwards makes you bop way slower, and when it gets back to the normal song it very MID tempo. All tempos, "All In Me" indeed
I Thought was supposed to be a fucking single.
I will always HATE Atlantic for that.
Quote""We got this one song called 'I Thought,' it's gonna be her anthem. It's a flip off of 'The Boy Is Mine.' It's hot because it represents that new style I was talking about. We got some sick ballads like 'When You Touch Me' and 'Like This.'"
Fuck yew ATLANTIC
Yeah, a top to bottom classic

My trifecta is Like This, All In Me & Apart...
That transition from Like This to All In Me>>>>>>>>>>>>>
There's the BOP trinity Can We/WAU/I Thought and there's the ballad mess WYTM/LWCMO/Nothing :stressed:
Bitch! That ballad trinity is deadly!!!!! Sis could've really finished that era and rested during her pregnancy with that alone!!!
!!! And i get Brandy was still "America's sweetheart" or w/e but a POP Mix of "He Is" as the 3rd single??? ^o)
It should have been WAU > FM > WYTM > LWCMO
I would have LOVED I Thought too but there's no way Brandy would have been able to perfrom that with the choreo it deserved, not by the time they were pushing a 3rd single.

Facts!!! I Thought should've been shot then around the same time as Full Moon video and made Full Moon 3rd... but due to her situation and what was already rolled out the label SLACKED for not dropping WYTM, Nothing and LWCMO... LWCMO could've def closed the era hands down... the first two def would've killed urban radio at that time... imagine hearing WYTM or Nothing come on a mix with Li I Care 4 U, Ashanti Foolish, Michael Butterflies... ACK!!!!

I hate the sped up part in All in me but it's one of my fave Brandy songs ever. This album has her best adlibs.
:-o That's blashpheme. That dubstep/house reference is everything.

jjjsvsvsdjjdjdjddnd BITCH this thesis. The way I hit a hard 8-count when the dub kicks in and then find my groove again. :plzstop:

I can understand that. It's like a collage. That's what I love about a lot of tracks on FM is that both the vocals and the beats themselves are pretty "busy" but they marry so well. Literally fun to listen to, trying to listen to all of the elements, while still being BOPS. Yeesh
I never knew how much I needed to see this songs in concert until sis did that Like This/All In Me/Angel In Disguise mash up

Can we talk about how pretty she was on the cover real quick?
The album can be played literally from start without skipping. This was actually the first brandy album I got into back when I first joined
:stressed:
I'm convinced that Rodney and Brandy will reunite one day...

This album is so creative and whoever came with this Full Moon concept and image was a damn genius.
This transition from a teenage girl to a woman... She felt complete... A full circle.
I was too young to fully witness this era but the way I rushed to the TV when FM was playing just to see her mug...
Brandy. I <3 u. 4ever.
The crazy thing is she could drop "Anybody" right now and it would sound current cfgjjjjdduiooooooo

Their damn ego. Its time to put it to the side.
We have:
Toni & Babyface
Mariah & JD
Monigger & BCox
But yea, you can't force artistry.
