Title: Phaedra, Gorl
Post by: ssw4919 on December 23, 2015, 12:15:36 AM
 :uhh:

Bravotv.com: Why did you get so emotional during your talk with Sheree?
PP: The plight of African-American boys is close to my heart. Being the mother of two black sons requires me to be more aware of societys perceptions, because I have to teach them how to appropriately conduct themselves in situations like this. While Glens behavior and actions were clearly unacceptable, seeing him provoked into a confrontational situation is a prime example of how a manageable incident can quickly escalate into a dangerous situation. A misperception or miscommunication can very well be the difference between life and death, as we have seen time and time again throughout history. Kenyasfears and poor communication skills turned what should have simply been an uncomfortable situation into an act of violence. I got emotional because all too often young black boys are in similar situations that unexpectedly and unnecessarily turn violent and result in them either being seriously hurt or killed. I was with the family of Michael Brown in Ferguson and have seen this tragedy firsthand. I am friends with Trayvon Martins mother, and I know she never expected to be the face of a movement, but fortunately she turned her sorrow into strength and has led the cause to bring awareness to senseless violence against black boys. I do not condone violence against women -- I am a woman, daughter, sister, and mother -- but I equally do not condone labeling or stereotyping.

This is the problem now. The general public sees the behavior of that angry, mentally-impaired man in this instance and correlate to those of the average black man only for other blacks to defend it..

sdedxzsss at poor communication skills.  She said, "You're making people uncomfortable.  Please leave."  What was hard to understand? :usureuok:

Then again, this is coming from a woman who married Apollo.  What kind of abuse apologist?

Wait, Kenya read Phelony a bit. :ohwow:

PHAEDRA VS. MIKE BROWN AND FERGUSON
I?m astounded by Phaedra?s blatant attempt manipulate the fans and incite anger against me. She stated that my reaction to Glen was the same as that of a ?white women in suburbia" to an innocent Black boy walking down the street.

This had nothing to do with a ?white women in suburbia? as Phaedra stated. Some men, like Glen, behave in a way that is unacceptable in society. We can feel a need to protect our men from unwarranted police brutality as in the Black Lives Matter campaign, but this is clearly not the same.

Further, if a man is acting in a threatening and aggressive manner thereby making women feel uncomfortable, we cannot ask them to leave? According to Kim Fields if we do, we are ?hitting a hornet?s nest? and ?provoking? a man. Shame on them! I do not have to accept a man?s abuse -- physical or verbal, black or white. Glen was abusive, period. I deserve to feel safe in my environment. I deserve protection. I deserve respect. This incident is not about a racial divide. I am a woman first.

These women are so resentful of my presence that they will always choose the side that is against me. Would any of these hypocritical mothers allow their sons to talk to women that way? Would that be acceptable to them for their sons to act the way Glen did? We saw Phaedra threaten to call the police on Apollo, but according to them I was wrong to ask Glen to leave.

Regarding Phaedra, she has made it her mission on every episode thus far to call me a villain; making fun of my former skin condition, my dark brown skin tone, and now my preemptive actions made to protect not only her, but all of the women present. It?s evident that Kim Fields, Phaedra, Sheree, and Porsha were all wrong about Glen. Yet, they were all ready to nail me to a stake until Kandi stated she agreed with me. Funny how that works isn?t it?

Thank you.  Those women are the type of black women who coddle black men, and their sons.  They will excuse and justify every negative behavior and place the blame all on a woman.  They're the type to blame a woman for getting raped, or a girl for getting molested, or a female for being beaten.

sddssxss She must have slid Glen her defense attorney card and is now prepping her case.  "Oh, Kenya provoked him."

Kim said in her blog that she feels sorry for Tammy and Glen.  Tammy, I understand.  But Glen?  :diddraispoot:

They are disgusting.  As a woman, I'd never want to be around disloyal women who won't even have your back when you're being cursed out or threatened by a drunk dude.

This is not about people provoking a man, this is about how men should handle being provoked Phaedra! Women don't have to walk on eggshells to be safe. Kenya had every right to tell him she felt uncomfortable in her own house. Plus I bet she felt he wasn't going to do anything since his aunt was around to talk to him. A lot of nephews wouldn't snap in front of their family but this crazy fool even knocked down his own aunt. A ticking time bomb, but security handled it and there wasn't any police force so there is no need to make this a black lives matters situation. Phaedra took this opportunity to be mother Theresa. What kind of lawyer is she? Apollo stole so much money and he got violent several times. There is no excuse for that, but I guess he was provoked to do that.

Some of the comments in this thread still placing the blame on Kenya and saying she 'provoked' Glen is so ridiculous. It does remind me of when a girl gets raped and people tell her "Well, you shouldn't have been wearing that outfit". Or a woman being physically abused and relatives ask her "What did you do to provoke him?" Kenya speaking to that man and expressing to him that she is uncomfortable is no excuse for him to react that way. Are some of you saying that if a woman asked you to leave a house, you would charge at them? And it's ok for you to be physically abusive because you were asked to leave? Fuck outta here.

She gathered them ALL.

:supluv:

I agree with everything she said!!!

Even though I'm still not a fan of hers, I also don't think Kenya was at fault during that lil slumber party Nene had.
Now wait, from what I remember Kenya kinda charged at his wife a bit before the action went down.

!!!

Her behavior is so contradictory.
