I went this year and lived.

I would say take as little more than you need, just in case. But it wasn't as expensive as I was expecting tbh.

The best events are the last three days.

none at all. anyway, there's a gay section on the beach so you'll be fine.

how many people are you going with?

have you bought passes?

3 of us total.  and no passes have been purchased yet.
Were the passes necessary ?

I don't think they are - that's why I asked. We had bought all week passes but ended up only going to three of the events.
I would suggest getting the night club passes though.

Raised down in FL; have been once when it first started. and then once two years after that. Depends on what you're in to tbh and also depends on what type of people you hang with. It's one of those "what you put in is what you get out" type occassions. If you go for mess, you're going to get mess. If you're going for attention, you're going to get attention. If you're going to just have a good time and can give 2 fucks about who else is going, then you'll have a good time with some mess thrown your way every now and then. It's almost inevitable. Many older men go with hopes of clinging on to some young dude that they can feel their youth with. When I first went, it was 18 and over. I was told they changed that but IDK. That played a BIG part because lots of "kids" went. The beach party is...well...more of a cruise fest vs. a party.

I would never go again. It's not worth it TO ME because i'm not into the mega gay events. When mega gay events take place in my home town, that's when I'm going out of town. But if you're into those type's of festivities, you'll have fun. I would take it day by day. Agree with other post, not worth the passes. Just go for the sake of being in Miami for that holiday weekend and try to enjoy it in THAT aspect. Let the sizzle events just be a "plus" of your trip. But when you try to revolve your trip around Sizzle, it becomes too much.

Sorry for the long post but....yea...

These gay events do not be that serious. You just attend for fun and entertainment. I went for the first time last year and had the time of my life. No drama, no bullshit. It was a great time.

you can't speak for everybody. That's your experience and just as you, many other people have gone and had a blast. It all depends on the individual and what they want out of it....

Like any pride event it depends on who you go with and what yall tryna get into.

That being said Sizzle was definitely my 2nd fave pride event. Didn't spend a grand tho. U okay?

Gay pride events aren't that serious to me. You attend to have fun and mingle with other gays. It shouldn't feel like a life altering decision. Condoms exist if you feel like being a slut. There are a lot of other things to do in Miami as well if the gay vibes become a bit too much as well. I mean

i mean let's not ACT like we don't know what such events give. Doesn't matter if you're in the most secure relationship in the world, it's not the most ideal setting for people in relationships. Could a couple go? Yes. Could a couple go and have fun? Yes. But Sizzle and Pride are two different types of events, as much as Sizzle likes to act like it's some sort of "pride".

Why go to a "Sizzle" event tho? You can do all of those "activities" without waiting for the dick and ass fest to come around.

Just go to the beach on a regular day.

Go to the bar on a regular day.

Go to a party, a regular party.

Dont see why the Sizzle mess would be a test of your relationship's security.

That wasn't my point though bby. I'm just saying if that's something a bf wanted to participate in, I don't see it as an issue to attend. Temptation is kinda every where. Not just at a sex pride.

I'm sorry but if you and your man can't attend a Sizzle event because of "what it gives" that says a lot about your relationship and y'all as individuals.

this

What does it say?

n

It says y'all don't trust each other and the relationship is unstable

nah

Don't really see the point in spending a bunch of money to perch with a couple hundred fags looking for a quick fuck but have fun

Nah.

Looking at how "Sizzle" is marketed, I can see how an event like that would be undesirable for one or both partners in a ship' For some, avoiding lustful, unnecessary environments actually contributes to the stability of the relationship. If you know your wife doesnt feel comfortable with a stripper putting her pussy in your face, you're not going to go to a strip club, putting yourself in a position to basically lust after another woman and also making her feel a way. Its about respect, in that case. Like someone said temptation is everywhere, so by that logic, the unstable relationship is threatened at work, in the grocery store, at the gym, etc. But there's a difference between expecting someone to stop working, and expecting them to not go to a lustful, "mix and mingle" Sizzle event with naked men and mess abundant.

! Like I said, what exactly is it about the Sizzle event that one would be hell bent on attending?

If he's not as hellbent on going to the beach on a normal day... then it aint about the beach.

If he's not hellbent on going to a local bar, or a fuckin XMas party with fags there, it aint about socializing.

There's clearly something about the sex driven Sizzle environment he craves, and I can see why that would be kinda questionable in a relationshup.

sddddddddddd THIS exactly.

There's only one reason to want to spend that money to go to this shindig. Cause you could go to the beach anytime tbh.

I would experience one of these events just for.... the experience. I've never been around an environment with a group of gays so that would be interesting. It would also test my patience and temper.

Sometimes you just wanna be entertained and have fun around a diverse group of gays. If you chose to use that time to take some dick or dicks then so be it but that's not your only option. I have sex every pride event but I'm a sexual being. I'm gonna have sex regardless. I have friends who attend with their boyfriends just to have fun and network. No one cheated or attemped to.

This is a silly assumption. This is not the case with everyone.
Like I said we definitely do pride events. Sizzle is very over the top. There's no need for us to go to something like that. I don't care to see a bunch of fags in speedos and mess.

We have a lot of trust; 6 years and counting lolz

yea that environment just isn't for everyone lol.  I know for a fact that I wouldn't enjoy myself like that

I'm barely big on clubs no matter what the occasion is, so

I would have no problem with my man going down there and hanging with his friends. I dont care how many naked fags are walking around, I'm secure in mine. I wouldn't even be with someone if I had to worry about them not being able to go somewhere without possibly being tempted. Its a relationship not a prison :letsmessfag:
