Title: Do you believe in life outside of Earth? better known as Life After Death
Post by: Bentley. HARRIS! on June 05, 2020, 02:05:53 PM
Would love to hear everybody's honest answer on this.

We are told we only get one life to live.

All ancient civilizations believed in some sort of after life, and even reincarnation

Christianity is really the first religion to remix the story and say eternity is here

So what do you think.....

Do you think everything you are is this body?
What do you think being alive actually is?
Will you just stop when you die?

Bitch I was jus thinking about this like not even 3 seconds ago

But yeah I believe life after death

The universe is a living thing, constantly expanding and growing

If it's alive it means we are connected to it in some way. So it may be able to transfer consciousness from being to being across the universe after death

Not sure I believe but I KNOW this can't be all there is to our existence.

Life is definitely much bigger than this human experience on Earth.

right.

The mess doesn't make sense to me. All this work for what.

I know animals are manifestations of nature and part of the cycle, they may be reincarnated.

But there's something very different about us than them. So I'm not sure how we would fit into that.

I believe there is something else due to the fact that energy does not die. Like once our body withers away the soul would still be "present" it's hard to explain.

I honestly feel like this part is the shortest and least part of our actual "lives"

And that's the overwhelming part for me.

We clearly aren't from here.

It's like our spirit isn't used to all the negative emotions that comes with our bodies.

Everything feels so foreign to us.

No. I think you die and dassit.

People are just too delusional/self absorbed to accept that this meager existence is all they're gonna get.

But it's comforting to people to think there's more after this life. That if they didn't get to do all that they wanted that they still get more time after they die. That their "soul" will get to wander and still see.

When you die that is completely it. Game over. So do all that you can and whatever you want while you're here.

It also eases the heart when a family member or someone you love  dies.  But I don't like going on about topics like this. It's not my job or anyone else's to come between what brings someone comfort. Be it grieving or their own death

My brother and I were literally just having this conversation.

I do believe in life after death, but not in the Heaven/Hell way described in the Bible.

Like, I don't think everything just ends when we die. I feel like death is a graduation of sorts into our next level of consciousness.

If you feel insignificant, you better think again
Better wake up because you're part of something way bigger
You're part of something way bigger
Not just a speck in the universe
Not just some words in a bible verse
You are the living word
Ahh, you're part of something way bigger
Bigger than you, bigger than we
Bigger than the picture they framed us to see

Like it gets to a point when you literally have to throw facts out the window and rely on emotion/ feeling/hypothesis.

Like everything came from
A Single celled organism how many years ago?

Where did that first initial thing come from.

I don't know what before life or after but I'm pretty sure it isn't emptiness

Our bodies are created by cells & shit, but where does our actual consciousness originate?

The universe is VAST, and so much of it has yet to be explored. Hell, like 90% of the ocean hasn't even been touched.

I think things are a lot more complex than us just being born and dying.

mayb' this realm is a test so that we can either reach higher stages of existence or reincarnate here many, many times until we get 'it' right

I do believe there could be more after life but I also know there is a possibility this is just it. And people get way too delusional thinking they are going to live forever in some afterlife. They might even sacrifice themselves or make up fairytale disney stories. I know some people really see an afterlife like a movie (a white box and people just hanging around preferably with beards and clothes on)

Some people don't even focus on here and now. There is a possibility we as animals just follow our instincts to survive and procreate. There is a possibility that when the brain is dead we don't exist anymore. I was fighting this thought for a long time until I realized it was my fear of losing control. It is my fear for mortality but who knows we don't even have thoughts when we are dead. We might not be able to asses and look back. Life could be very random. We have evolved so much but why the fuck does nature care about that. Why would anyone in afterlife care about the economy for example.

There are times I feel my intuition is strong and there must be more. But there are also times I doubt it and know this spiritual feeling could be just neurological, dopamine in the brain.

The fact that every planet in our solor system besides Earth is inhabitable or has been fucked up constantly by asteroids and meteors.

Yet Earth is just perfectly situated from all that and jus close enough to the sun for life yet far away enough so it doesn't get lashed

It's jus too perfect

I don't have the answers..I have changed my mind multiple times the last couple of years. For a long time I really hoped I was part of a bigger plan and there would be a reward in the end. That I get to live on somehow.  But I realized that this could just be a sign that  I need to live in the moment and enjoy this life more instead of thinking about forever. This urge to live on forever is perfect if you look at it from a survival point of view. It is perfect for our species and must be in our brain and body somehow.

I want to know how many people would panic if they found out there is nothing more than life on earth. How many people could accept mortality?

A lot of people think everything happens for a reason. But I'm sure death can be very random, stupid and not even personal. Maybe death doesn't even care about who you are. Maybe it is just a result of a body not being able to function.

I don't have a definitive opinion on this but I wonder if our spirits are transferred to another planet when we die.

Like, some sort of reincarnation into a new life on some unreachable exoplanet or something. Maybe that's why we can't reach certain parts of the universe—-we're just not meant to.

Its a hard pill to swallow at first but it makes you appreciate everything a lot more while you're here. I think its different from me and someone that was brought up with JESUS and the BIBLE all their life. Trying to take away someone's religion is taking away a part of their identity, mindset and a lot of their morals/values go out the window because the only thing that prevented them from doing certain things is the fear of hell and revoking of their pass into Heavans McDonalds. Its like... who am I and why am I even still alive? whats the point?
and then they see all these people living these good lives carefree while they stress breaking their backs for another dollar to feed their family.
Having the thought of an afterlife in place has its positives.  More positives than negatives. tbh. Some just use it to twist things and promote hate.

Trump uses the thought of afterlife to somehow make people feel good about victims dying. I cringe all the time because he wants us to think dying is heroic and an accomplishment. I have struggled with that idea because it is scary to accept mortality but this realization finally gave me a lot of appreciation for life. This doesn't mean I have the answers, I just had to face my darkest fears. I guess it is also a part of me having a fear of getting older and not living the perfect life I imagined when I was younger. I can't worry too much about time I have wasted (I shouldn't focus on regrets and know there is more time), on the other hand there is also a deadline. You can't have a bonus round in heaven, the time is now.

I agree with what you've been saying in here

I think I'm slowely getting there (after a year of existential crisis). To have some faith again that there is more. Also with recent events that were too bizarre to be true (synchronicities). But I'm glad I learned more about atheism to be more down to earth. I feel a lot more appreciation and freedom.

I don't have a definitive opinion on this but I wonder if our spirits are transferred to another planet when we die.

Like, some sort of reincarnation into a new life on some unreachable exoplanet or something. Maybe that's why we can't reach certain parts of the universe—-we're just not meant to.

I remember yrs ago i was watchin this lady say this but it was like we reincarnate into new life on other worlds, into planets, stars.

Sumn 'bout evrything bein alive nd bein conscious

im lookin for tha vid now but i find tht one rlly interestin

I think things are a lot more complex than us just being born and dying.

The real question is if the creator, whatever or whomever designed the universe and mankind has any plans to resurrect the dead. And if so, when and how? Will everyone be resurrected or does it depend on how you lived your life? Life is clearly a gift despite all that's happened in our time. We were meant to enjoy life and it doesn't seem fair that in an instant we can be snuffed out.  Death isn't the end. Not by a long shot.

It doesn't hurt to read scientific explanations every now and then. I used to think I could sense when someone is looking but this makes a lot more sense. The brain is complex and genius.

https://bigthink.com/philip-perry/why-is-it-you-can-sense-when-someones-staring-at-you (https://bigthink.com/philip-perry/why-is-it-you-can-sense-when-someones-staring-at-you)

Another answer could be confirmation bias (http://www.popsci.com/why-do-i-feel-like-someones-watching-me). We remember only the times we turned around and someone was staring (or appeared to be), and not the times they weren't. And that weird, tingly sensation? It's psychological (http://nymag.com/scienceofus/article/the-psychology-of-feeling-like-youre-being-watched.html) and emanates from the thought of being stared at, not the physical act itself.

The ancient Sumerians said they came from the sky and basically mixed themselves with us to make the Adam, which we loosely translated as one man, but it meant a race of men. Basically we're half-Gods, half-whatever humans were already here. Our DNA was definitely altered.

That half of us is the part that goes back to where they came from. I think we're a healthy mix of science and myth.

I don't like doing this.....

But it's comforting to people to think there's more after this life. That if they didn't get to do all that they wanted that they still get more time after they die. That their "soul" will get to wander and still see.

When you die that is completely it. Game over. So do all that you can and whatever you want while you're here.
i always scream @ the way y'all say this so matter of factly

:udontlookok: there's obviously some disconnect in information when you have one side of people that believe in heaven, angels, golden gates and sugarplum fairies and one side that looks at SCIENCE and it just doesnt CLICK.

On what grounds

It must be pretty terrifying to have always thought there's more after you're in the ground.
That you're born with a purpose beyond anything even if dont actually DO anything or make a mark that will be seen once you're gone.

Who said all that

I'm just saying we don't know for sure what happens after

Yeah there is something I can't explain and I feel it..hmmm I want to believe in a higher power I just don't know how to make sense of it. I grew up Christian with the idea of an old man with a beard and I just can't accept that anymore.

I don't know if I believe scriptures like that  tho..I know the Bible has been censored, there are missing scriptures and I'm sure things get lost in translation. I can appreciate wisdom, a message about how to love, morals and symbolism. I always keep in mind human beings wrote this and it has been a tool to overpower people or to make them think a certain way. I don't think we should interpret it literally.

Take some shrooms or acid and then let's have this discussion lol there's more to this than dead and done.

but I don't think either side of this is arrogant. Those believe in pure death and that's it can be right. Those who believe in some level of after life can be right as well. Because no one truly knows the facts of what happens after we die aside from what we see with our eyes as it pertains to our physical form.  But you can't ignore the consciousness and soul that came with that body.  It's all just beliefs based on whatever facts you choose to read that day.

You can look at the planet and just based off science , & come to the conclusion that the universe is made up of "energy"

There's a force of creation —flat out

And energy doesn't die; it just moves

On those simple principles alone; you'd have to realize that there is a "life" after this experience in this fleshly meat suit. :dead:

Whether it's an entirely different experience from Earth ; the energy is going to move on somewhere in the universe.

:dead:

Pretty much. The question is what does "next" look like but this is definitely a TBC

I do believe that whatever is next may not have any idea of what before looked like. So our "energy" will love on and have no idea what it was before. Sort of like our "before" is unknown.

Energy as in a conscious soul or energy as in matter? Because I know we can all agree that the latter is true for the universe. The former, is whatever you want to believe. Yes matter will always be here. A dirt, grass, the antelope eat the grass tea. But a whole "afterlife." N. If that's what you want to call a life then by all means.

You're a seed that grew. Like that blade of grass bby. Just smarter. If your energy/matter/dust happens to manifest into a sperm cell that grows into a warthog down the line, hey.

This is what I'm saying. I guess some people like to pretty it up. To become one with the source is to be reduced back into another form of matter. Because even those man made things are made of energy. Of elements. And so are we. Elements don't disappear, no. They transform and end up in other things, in other places. So if your matter becomes a part of a palm tree, yes, a part of you has an afterlife as another living organism. If those broken down elements end up as the hood of a car and "unconscious", well I guess that's hell.

i think it's because we're a part of the creators or creation, different from other living organisms. Returning to it may mean losing our individualism, or instantly knowing everything because we'll be folded back into everything.

to me, waste is a human concept. Thinking we'll just end. because we don't understand the nature of things. That's why I think every religion shuns human emotions and promotes spiritual awareness.

Just like matter enters different states. I think the same for energy and our souls. It will enter different states at different frequencies

Like ormus gold, it will disappear into another plane when vibrated to a high enough frequency
QuoteMatter can be made to disappear at high electromagnetic frequencies and their related harmonics (as we've seen with the production of monatomic gold).

https://books.google.com/books?id=lud8AgAAQBAJ&pg=PA39&lpg=PA39&dq=monatomic+gold+frequency+disappearance&source=bl&ots=My72rCznAe&sig=ACfU3U2GSgtycM5jq4vct5DqB1BVU2jZBQ&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwji_PPJ9-vpAhUBc60KHUS5AaIQ6AEwDnoECAEQAQ#v=onepage&q=monatomic%20gold%20frequency%20disappearance&f=false

I agree we don't know what's next. We can't imagine living without a physical body. Our bodies are made up of mostly carbon, which is a very simple heavy molecule. But what gives us life and consciousness is the electromagnetic pulse we have

lol they sound so unaware

My moms passing illustrated that there is life after death
my mom travels the world with her husband and 2 kids
and comes to check on me and yell at me periodically while living her best after life  :plzstop:
It really is a transition moreso than an ending
alot of this world is accesible to us thru dreams meditation and astral projection
but our world has told us house car  job and school = life so we ignore things that dont physically effects us
its not untill you gain awareness of 5d conciousness and incorporate it into 3d that these concepts make sense

just as it is with my mom it is a paralell universe thats exists its not on the earthly plane
and with universe being infitine hey (that itself is mindboggling)
christinity talks about heaven and hell but
my mom is in heaven but its not a church she sit in all day its the life shes always wanted
hell is essentially earth  in another dimmesnion as well crimes war greed
which ever ur conciousness most aligned with is where i think u go

And to take drugs and realize there is more..the brain and hallucinations is complex. Same thing as schizophrenia and psychosis, may look very real to someone. But anyways I'm interested if there are people who had supernatural experiences you can't explain with science. Like predictions that came true or information through intuition that was helpful.

I also think people who lost someone could very well imagine that person having contact with them.. it is a way to cope with stress and pain. I think we have so much information and imagination in our minds that we can just take those memories and turn it into an experience. In that way energy of those around us lives on in us..

But I do hope that this is possible since losing my parents would be the hardest thing to deal with in my life. I do wish there is more..

I honestly think it's a trap. They put fear in us about death so we wouldn't escape their man made universal. Somebody knows the truth about it all.

In the back of my head I feel like when we die, the people in the next world (or source) will be like "What took you so long". I know it sounds crazy.

Like all of this is fake. Look around all of it. 90% of the things here from airplanes, trains, t.vs., couches, music, cars etc... came out of the head of someone else.

The other remaining 10% came out source who did it on a bigger level like the earth, water, mountains, oxygen etc...

We're little pieces of source in a human body, until it's time to die and go back and become one with source.

Yes this sums it right the fuck up

Thank you

I honestly think it's a trap. They put fear in us about death so we wouldn't escape their man made universal. Somebody knows the truth about it all.

In the back of my head I feel like when we die, the people in the next world (or source) will be like "What took you so long". I know it sounds crazy.

Lol  I am for certain thats what happened with whitney
She was like waitt....bobbi do u need me?
Ok i will wait for u hun its too nice ovah here

I know that when ppul transition it is not a punishment or something that is a negative
That death is for the living to gain experience and growth from because god already decided to call the soul back because the mission was complete in this life

Some are long some are short

But as u see this george floyd guy was definetly to impact others as he completed his own mission to go back to source

But the means in which it happens are for others not the person

The ancient Sumerians said they came from the sky and basically mixed themselves with us to make the Adam, which we loosely translated as one man, but it meant a race of men. Basically we're half-Gods, half-whatever humans were already here. Our DNA was definitely altered.

Bentley!!!!

I've been thinking about this a LOT lately. Great thread. I'd like to think i have a strong relationship with God and my own personal spirituality, but i no longer claim or identify with any specific religion.  I believe in the afterlife, at this point, because i want to believe in it.

I believe we've all been here before, though, In some form or another, so ...  to believe in that, is to believe in the afterlife in some way. Reincarnation is something im leaning toward believing in as opposed to being in some amazing paradise for alllllll of eternity. I'm constantly struggling to imagine a place like HEAVEN, or even a level of peace like that lasting for forever.

Like ...  why can't we just have that now? why do so many people have to suffer?  idk.

But i don't mind asking God these questions. I think it's healthy
:butwait!:

:butwait!:

I mean we cant truly experience full celestial peace or whatever while still living on a physical plane which operates on duality
Up down
Left right
Good bad
Right wrong
Male female

The duality is what keeps us from experiencing the full oneness
Which can be achieved by tapping into other dimmesnions to collapse them as much as possible

But u wont experience it untill u are one with source again

Because the physical world is limited

U wont even need ur physical body to experience it
But u need it to experience the duality on earth

So u will continue to see that play out as long as u live

Rich poor
Happy sad
Birth and death
Easy life rough life
Suffering and peace

It is only when u remove the physical limitations that these dualitys no longer exist
But the universe works on balance anyway
To have light u need shaddow
To have shaddow u need light
That is perfect balance

It also eases the heart when a family member or someone you love  dies.  But I don't like going on about topics like this. It's not my job or anyone else's to come between what brings someone comfort. Be it grieving or their own death
