I have traveled extensively in Africa, I was married in Africa to an African. It is a sweeping generalization, and unfortunately it is mostly true. The majority of Africans, specifically Sub Saharan Africans, would love to move to the USA if given the opportunity. After dealing with poverty and extreme economic oppression, the USA would look like a fantasy land to them. So they ignore the plight of the African American, because they feel that we should be "thankful" for what we have. Which is an easier access to healthcare, education and economic opportunities, despite systematic racism.

just think 50 year person coming here getting a complete life reset without all the baggage of their country
vs a 50 year old black man just now getting his finances and life stable ready for his american dream
