!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just the excitement level and how ON she was throughout that era I will always appreciate... it was like Super Saiyan Brandy, she came to compete!
!!!!!!!!!!!!! There was so much EXCITEMENT and hype with this era. We haven't seen that since honestly NSN. It was truly a comeback. She just dropped the ball with the second single. Do You Know was the obvious follow up... I still get mad thinking about it. Do You Know had potential to be even bigger than PID. She would've been the first R&B girl with a Mike Will mess. Urban radio would've ate it UPPP. :uhh:

All facts! But I do appreciate that she at least TRIED! She gave looks, came through ass this new and improved sassy performer, the female dancers, the new set list before she wore it down to the ground :plzstop: those were some good moments that I'm glad I was old enough to cherish as a fan

her best vocal on a track?
Quite possibly, I say.
Do You Know and Slower were obvious singles for her... wish she would at least had the opp to let them play on radio during that time

But yeah, even tho stans many not go up for it so much, Two Ele' holds a special place in my heart because that was the era I really got IN to Bran'.

I'm tired of blaming the team, blaming the DOG, every era. Ghan gotta take responsibility for this mess too.
Slower would've been the perfect 3rd single. I could've seen her doing a remix/duet version with Piss. Like a continuation to PID.
It's very true though — I enjoyed the era for what it was at the time
for some reason the break from human to 2/11 felt LONGER than the current one :dead:
but it was an album for the time. I haven't listened to it in like 3-4 years and I don't plan to either. It wasn't a good body of work and the songs are dated as fuck
HUMAN, however, woo! What a classic iconic ass album :woohoo:

Ummmm no, Two eleven may have been an album of the times (which Brandy needed btw) but it in no way sounds dated, y'all love to take away from the Queen. Bran was singing her ass off and her approach was much different than the Human album vocally although I like that album as well. 2/11 gave the girls edgy, promiscuous, dark and moody and you will STAN!

Ddddd maybe I need to revisit b/c I think I've listened to that song all of 2 times :uhh:
Wait a min I might need to revisit this album b/c I forgot how much I used Hardly Breathing, Scared of Beautiful, Wish Your Love Away & Music
:gorlonfire:
2/11 is the only Brandy album to me that doesn't seem to have a cohesive theme. It feels like her management (ahem, Breyon) was just like, you're gonna dress sexy and dance sexy and talk about sex stuff on this album :dead:
Nothing on this album sounds like a true BRANDY song to me and that's why I never listen to it. Sure, it had some bops, but there's nothing that stands out to me tbh. I know people like to hate Human for being pop, and I was disappointed when it first came out, but even still, it sounds like a BRANDY album and it has a cohesive sound/theme.
2/11 sounds like a bunch of demos with a current (2012) sound thrown together to complete an album.
:letsmessfag:
People forget though at that time Brandy had to win back the GP & give bops! To the world at the time she was too boring and lost that sass she once had back in the day... W/ the accident, Human and the short lived Bran-Nu she was confusing/losing her core audience
So sis had to bring her A game to compete again and she did just that! Only thing Brandy lost at the time was her formula of a main producer but she def won people back over on how she presented herself in 2012/2013

That's true to an extent and I can see why as a Brandy fan this wouldn't be your favorite album of hers but it can't be written off as a bad album just because it doesn't have a Brandy sound. To me she needed to mix it up and give us bops and that's what she did. Sometimes before you can really shake **** up, you need to join the masses and that's what she did, this album wasn't her Emancipation of Mimi moment, I believe B7 could be as far as the body of work but Bran isn't putting that promotion and excitement behind her return as she should.

Yeah I still don't understand what the girls thought brandy should give she needed to make that album at
time it only made sense..... Human is my
favorite,,, But she could've come with an artistic album
again it was time to mess and she did just that ... the album is still pretty good
Slower is one of the best songs Brandy has ever recorded
Love this album. Does not get enough love from the gors
I can't believe it's been so long. :uhh:
Brandy did that.
do you know what you got here? do you know?
I think it's the hatred between her and TC, who wrote the song that made her snap like that. Anybody that's been around me and say brandy can't sing I play that .. and you should see how they react .. "I didn't know brandy could sing like that? " Mf gone learn today.,
Love this album. My only complaint was that it didn't flow like Brandy album usually does.

Yes it feels very mixtape but in a good way.
