That's EXACTLY how I'd write if someone allowed me to write on my own. Guidance and collaboration is absolutely important, IMO.
Especially with someone as Gifted as Tyler Perry is. He is an absolute special talent, and when i say he should collaborate with others, i say that because brilliant minds are often elevated when they're around even brighter minds than that of their own, or simply another creative way of doing things.
Creatives bouncing ideas off of each other and CHALLENGING each other is something that i think is hard to beat.

Also let me highlight that Precious being the only critically acclaimed mess he's been (financially) involved with... further goes to the point of what he COULD be doing if he wasn't so damn consumed with fulfilling every creator role himself.
