This is what we need to teach our kids

To LOTION and moisturize our kids

To exfoliate and hydrate our kids

We need to stop letting kids walk around feel like having dark skin is a curse.

Like ... Would you rather have this or some pale leathery coat with liver spots :uhh:

I think a lot of times black is synonymous with ashy, not beautiful, evil darkness

They make movies like Candyman (BLACK ppl will get ya in the dark!) or cast darker skinned ppl who aren't physically attractive

Somebody told me recently ... "I can tell you been in the sun this summer but you have such good skin haha!"

And it was really kind of a Brandy/Kelly moment

Then I realized, that's the old thinking of making sure I skin stays as light as possible.

I know blacks who still won't leave the house in the summer because they are trying to go past a certain shade
