love seeing comments like this from non fans

QuoteThis is by far the best space her career has been in since 1998. Her team has given the public a perfect balance of nostalgia and new things. She has developed a niche fanbase after adopting that "Vocal Bible" moniker and because her voice is still so inventive. Good for her.

I suppose but I feel like comebacks are overused. I feel like a comeback is only when the past era(s) was insignificant but that wasn't the case for Brandy.

I don't feel like this is a earth shattering comeback really unless the sales were significantly higher. And I hate to make it about sales and a strong social media following, but that's really how you know if a particular artist is reaching a lot of  people in our generation. And if they aren't, people are so quick to lose interest and move on that it isn't even funny.  I see B7 as moreso just therapy for her ..getting this record out. And yes she made a small splash here and there and I'm satisfied with that. The music nor the sales aren't strong enough to call B7 a comeback record. It should match or outdo her previous smash records performance to call it that in my opinion and it hasn't done that.

Yes. Brandy would have had this response from the last 4 albums if she would had just pushed through like she doing with this one. She gave up to quick.

If covid wasn't around I think B7 would be huge success.  I think promotion was gonna be big

Her labels/team gave up too quickly.

She's done more in three months INDIE, than she did in years on a major.

The way you genuinely go UP for both  Brandy and Monica with facts is dope af to me.
And you have been consistent since back in the day at the old boards!

It sure the fuck is! Brandy doing the numbers these new girls doing.

Getting a certified record from the era.
The acclaim + plus all the shit Young listed.

Some of y'all are TF in denial and dumb! If queen lands a new fucking TV show and Grammy this would be giving NSN vibes forreal.

I wouldn't in terms of commercial performance, but this era has been a big step in cementing Brandy's legacy

This is what I came to say. She didn't hit any major milestones (so far) on paper, but she got the validation she deserved.
