resonant is the word I would use and projection. she clearly has the softer voice but she sings with good technique which allows her to sound BIG when she needs to

Ummmm yes, when has Monica belts ever be good. Her voice on For You I Will was at its top tier but them belts now are flat and strained. Love All Over Me sounds horrible just for that very reason, although the avg listener swears by that song.
