This album would have been so much better if Freedom, Porcelain and few others had made the cut. I hate that Bran was so low emotionally she felt like she had to record this boring apology album after the accident.

Freedom should've been the lead single that's the essence of where she was at the time musically ..the song is fckin stunning .and ..it has nearly a million views that's cool for an unreleased mess ..and tells me non fans have picked up on it here and there. Unbelievable.

12 years ago today , Brandy released a collection of uninspired well sung demos when her self-esteem was at an all time low.

I wish third single Warm It Up With Love had gotten a video.

I never liked Right Here Departed... the beat has an awful high instrument towards the end that doesn't fit and hurts the ears and used to give me a headache 🤕 every time I tried to listen. I always felt like it was a Rodneys way of sabotaging the first single and the era

I don't get why everyone is hating on Piano Man in here... I just skipped through the album on YouTube and Piano Man has the most plays after the two videos...

https://youtu.be/VZglRrcVn5w

It should have been a single and could have had an incredible video if it followed the lyrical content of the song and told a story of her singing all night around a piano drinking etc along the lines of the vibe in the Beggin and Pleadin video in an underground dark club around a piano ...

:'(

Human is so different from her other works that it sits as an outlier and ppl think its sounds outdated but that's when its compared to her other works. If a white gal sang the Human album, the perception would be different.

You say pure. I say boring. Human is her most safe album vocally (acappella being the outlier here because she absolutely sang from her uterus there).

Human just felt stale as a brandy album. It lacked her usual spark....as others have cited, the unreleased mess from that album SLAYED. The label really fucked Human up. However, its still a solid album...its just her worst.

Her absolute worst album ever! What a wasted album especially with the tracks we heard that were for the album before It turned into a "I apologize/ crossover" album. Not sure why y'all keep trying to make this album great when the public didn't go for It and the pop girls didn't really take on to It RHD did okay but that's It

this is TOTALLY not true

the pop gorls LOVED RHD.  every white GORL knows that song

also billboard says otherwise.  RHD was brandys LAST top 40 single peaking at number 34 on the hot 100.  so SPEAK on what ya know sis cause "HUMAN" album aint it

I said what I said. Let's not forget allllll albums have declined sales since FM. It was basically the last song sent to pop. Hell we barely get songs send to Urban she sends her shit straight to adult contemporary these days. Human is trash. Period. It was a waste of a album but she was on dancing with the stars and the accident and the duet gave her a lil extra push. But the album sucks. I know y'all pop stans think this album is great but face It the general public does not. It's not even mentioned. And she ignores It because It sucks. I'm glad you have a fave but this album was and will never be the best. And I'm no a sis gtfoh with that

and what you said was some BULL SHIT

again SPEAK WHAT YA KNOW.  Your facts and timeline is ALL WRONG.  Human came out in 2008
dancing with the stars wasnt till 2010.  So youre meaning to tell me that a show 2 years after the album came out had an affect on sales???   Actually we were all kinda pressed cause she didnt use the momentum from DWTS to release something.  So yeah Human album had ran its course by then.  Not sure what duet youre EVEN talking about i will assume its IABTM.  So you are also WRONG AGAIN.  Thatwas in feb 2012.  At the start of the 2/11 area so again you dont know SHIT ..

RHD was a hot 100 SMASH and you cant take

Human vocals are better than B7 vocals tho imo Brans voice was in such a sweet spot during that era .

I agree, HUMAN should have been Bran's "I AM SASHA FIERCE" moment and propelled her into the pop girl that mama is. Its sad cause Bran was looked at as past her prime but she was only like 29. If they gave Human proper single treatments with fire ass visuals, artwork and thick Ghandy then we could have had something but she was sad, depressed, thin and lacked confidence.

Human has no business being in the conversation with God7.... dry ass unseasoned album.

White people shit. Wtf is Torn Down? Old stale ass music. Throw the whole damn album away except true and RHD and keep the GOOD unreleased stuff like Freedom, One Thing, and Cigarette. How about that?

The fact that this demo of 1st and Love is better than the album version ..makes me upset. And the Fall demo was better too! Unacceptable! The final versions of the songs that end up on the album should always be the best! Big mistake.

Human was severely mishandled.
Yeah.

Gonna Find My Love could have been a cute lil pop hit.

Don't know why that was a bonus track.

and Long Distance as a single

:uhh:

but all of Brandy's albums after FM have been mishandled to some extent. some more than others.
Gonna Find My Love... True...Fall

shit.. even Piano Man has millions of views on YouTube jkfl;djL:SKFJLDS:J

All would've been better choices than Long Distance. Her team is kinda retarded

To be fair, Pop ballads were doing relatively well in 2010, and I think they were counting on the Bruno Mars connection  :-/

!!!

Like any song would've been a better follow up to RHD than LD.

LD was released in late 2008 and way before Bruno's 2010 solo debut. He was an unknown when he played the piano in the video..

And don't get me wrong, LD is a cute song but it wasn't strong enough to stand where it was and needed more of a push..

Yes. I understand why they went with LD but it wasn't as good as those songs at the time. Ryan Tedder was the king of that sound and LD's chorus/climax wasn't catchy enough.

they actually should've went with the title track Human as the pop ballad
its the song that speaks directly to the issues with the lying about her relationship w/Robert and the accident
and she sang her face OFF. A primetime interview w/Oprah where she performed that song and apologized about everything would've been perfect

I remember being so excited for Piano Man in particular before the album came out because I was thinking she was doing another classic Rock n Roll cover and covering Elton John ... but then the "piano man" was Rodney Jerkins  :ermm:

Still a good song but just wasn't what I was expecting. I have a feeling it get's a lot of plays on YouTube etc because people are thinking it's going to be a cover like I was thinking.. but maybe I'm wrong.
